Well now, if you ever been watchin’ the TV and seen that Randy Orton fella doin’ his thing in the ring, you might be thinkin’ he’s just all about them big punches and fancy moves. But, let me tell ya, that man ain’t just a wrestler, no sir! He’s been in a few movies too, and I reckon he ain’t half bad at it.
First time I remember hearin’ about Randy Orton in a movie was back in 2011. He was in a film called That’s What I Am. Now, don’t go expectin’ no big action scenes in this one, it’s more of a drama. He played the father of a school bully, so you can imagine, he ain’t playin’ the nicest guy in that one. But even though he ain’t the hero, he sure makes his mark. The movie’s set in 1965 and tells the story of a paperboy and the way he deals with a bunch of challenges. But don’t be fooled, Randy Orton’s character makes quite the impression, even if he ain’t the good guy.
After that, Randy started hittin’ the action movie scene a bit harder. In 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (2013), he takes on a lead role, and now this one’s more up his alley with all them car chases and explosions. He plays a fella named Nick, a paramedic who gets his wife kidnapped, and then spends the rest of the movie tryin’ to save her. If you like a good thrill ride, this one’s for ya. It’s all about high stakes and fast action, and Randy’s there, flexin’ them muscles and doin’ what he does best.
Then, in 2015, Randy Orton did a movie called The Condemned 2. Now, if you’ve ever watched the first one, you know it’s all about people fightin’ for their lives, and the second one ain’t much different. But this time, Randy’s a part of the action, and let me tell ya, he doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff. He’s tough, and this movie’s full of fightin’, shootin’, and all them things that’ll get your blood pumpin’. He’s all about survival and gettin’ out of that mess, and he sure knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Not long after that, in 2016, Randy Orton popped up in Countdown. Now, this one’s more of a cop drama with a twist. He plays a fella named Ray, a police officer caught up in a mess where he’s got to deal with a whole lotta crime and corruption. It’s got a good mix of suspense and action, and Randy does a fine job showin’ us that he’s got more to offer than just bein’ a wrestler.
Some folks might still be wonderin’ if ol’ Randy Orton’s any good in these movies, but lemme tell ya, he’s definitely shown that he’s got the chops for it. His roles ain’t always the same, sometimes he’s the hero, other times he’s the bad guy, but he’s always bringin’ that same tough energy we know him for in the ring. And for all you fans of his wrestling career, well, don’t you worry, he’s still doin’ that too, keepin’ his WWE career rollin’ strong.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to watch some of these movies, you might be able to find ‘em on streaming services like Peacock, where you can catch Randy Orton: The Evolution of a Predator, which tells the story of his rise to fame. You get a real good look at how he went from a young fella with a dream to one of the biggest stars in the wrestling world.
So, if you’re in the mood for somethin’ different, somethin’ with a bit of action, a bit of drama, and of course, a whole lotta Randy Orton, you’ve got plenty to choose from. Just grab some popcorn, sit back, and watch this WWE legend do his thing on the big screen. Whether he’s kickin’ butt or fightin’ for his life, Randy Orton proves he’s got the right stuff.
