Well now, lemme tell ya about this gal, Megan Patricia, ya know, that one you see all over Instagram, @overtimemegan they call her. Ain’t no doubt she’s somethin’ special, ‘cause folks are always talkin’ about her, what with her over 500 thousand folks followin’ her around like a bunch of lost sheep. Can you imagine that? I can’t even get 50 people to listen to me when I got somethin’ to say!
Now, Megan, she’s one of them city folks, over there in that New York City. Big place, lots of noise, and all them tall buildings like they were built to touch the sky. I reckon she’s real comfortable in the hustle and bustle of that place, what with all them followers and all the pictures she puts up. She don’t hold back neither – puts up a good 170-some pictures so far, all sorts of things goin’ on in ‘em, from selfies to just simple snaps of her life.
But I don’t reckon she’s just doin’ it for fun. No ma’am. She’s makin’ a name for herself in the world of business too. She’s got somethin’ called a “business inquiry” thing on her Instagram. Now, I don’t rightly know what all that means, but I figure it’s folks askin’ her to help them sell their stuff or give ’em a hand with their own business. Seems like she’s doin’ well for herself with all them folks watchin’ her every move. Might be somethin’ in it, if ya ask me.
Now, y’all might be wonderin’ why anyone would want to follow her so much. Well, I reckon it’s ’cause she’s real with her followers, doesn’t try to be someone she ain’t. And that’s somethin’ that goes a long way in today’s world. Don’t hurt none that she’s easy on the eyes too, but it’s her personality that keeps folks comin’ back for more. She don’t try to show off too much or make herself seem better than anyone else. No, ma’am, she’s just livin’ her life and let’s people see the good, the bad, and everything in between.
As for me, well, I don’t know much about all them social media things, but I sure do know that if you’re gonna get somethin’ out of it, you better be ready to put in the work. Megan, I reckon, she’s done just that. Got herself a nice lil’ following, made some good business connections, and got folks talkin’ about her. Ain’t too bad a way to make a livin’ these days, if you ask me. If I was a young’un again, I might try it myself. But for now, I’ll stick to bakin’ pies and takin’ care of the garden.
