Well now, let me tell ya something about this upcoming fight, Edmen Shahbazyan vs AJ Dobson. Now, I ain’t no expert or nothin’, but I been watchin’ these fellas and I got a few thoughts. First off, both of ’em are lookin’ to get back on their feet after a rough patch. You know how it is, one minute you’re on top, next minute you’re fallin’ down. That’s just the way the fight game works sometimes.
Now, let’s talk about Edmen Shahbazyan. This boy’s been in the game for a while now, but he’s had his fair share of struggles. I reckon a lotta folks been talkin’ about how his stand-up game ain’t been lookin’ too sharp recently. He’s been in the cage with some tough folks, but he’s still got that knockout power, that’s fer sure. You don’t get a record of 12-4 without knowin’ how to throw a punch. I reckon he’ll be lookin’ to come out swingin’ in this fight, tryin’ to prove he’s still got what it takes.
Now, AJ Dobson, he’s a younger feller, only got a record of 7-2. But don’t let that fool ya. This kid’s got some skill. He’s got some good wrestling and ground game, and from what I seen, he can hold his own in that octagon. But he’s still kinda green compared to some of these seasoned vets like Shahbazyan. I reckon he’s lookin’ to make a name for himself here, especially after Shahbazyan’s been on a bit of a skid.
Now, this fight’s gonna be somethin’ to watch. If Shahbazyan can keep his distance and use that knockout power, I’d say he’s got a good shot at takin’ this one home. But Dobson, well, he’s got some tricks up his sleeve. If he can close the gap, get Shahbazyan to the ground, and wear him out, it could be his night.
I’m gonna say, though, I got a feeling Shahbazyan’s gonna pull this one out. He’s got the experience, and if he can find that rhythm he’s been missin’, I reckon he’ll land that big shot. I’d say Shahbazyan wins by TKO or KO. That’s where I’m puttin’ my money, if I had any. The odds are around +175, which ain’t too bad for a guy like him.
Now, I don’t know all the fancy numbers and stats like some of them other folks, but I know one thing for sure: when you’ve got knockout power like Shahbazyan, it’s hard to bet against him. He’s been through a lot in the cage, and sometimes that experience can be what pulls ya through when the fight gets tough. As for Dobson, he’s still on the rise, but I think he’s gonna need a little more time to catch up to the likes of Shahbazyan.
So, in my humble opinion, I’m goin’ with Shahbazyan to win this one by knockout. But hey, you never know what might happen once them fists start flyin’. Could be a good one, that’s for sure. Just make sure you’re tuned in to watch UFC Vegas 89, it’s gonna be a good time!
