Well, well, well, lemme tell ya somethin’ about this… what’s it called? Ah, yes, PS3 Lawson. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like some kinda newfangled contraption. My grandkids, they’re always talkin’ about these things, these PlayStations and whatnot. Always with their noses in them screens!
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. Just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of it all. This PS3 thing, seems like it’s somethin’ to do with playin’ games. Like them arcade games down at the fair, but fancier. My Johnny, he’s got one, spends hours in his room jabberin’ at that screen. Says he’s fightin’ dragons or drivin’ race cars. Landsakes, I don’t know what’s so excitin’ ’bout starin’ at a screen all day, but he seems to like it.
Now, this Lawson part… that’s where it gets confusing. Sounds like a store, maybe? Like the Piggly Wiggly down the road. Maybe you buy these PS3 things at Lawson? Or maybe it’s somethin’ else altogether. Maybe it’s like one of them… what’d they call ’em… subscriptions? Like when you pay to get the newspaper every day. Maybe you pay Lawson to play them games on the PS3. See? It’s all a bit much for this ol’ brain.
- So, PS3, that’s the game thingy.
- Lawson, maybe it’s a store or a subscription.
I heard tell these games, they ain’t cheap. Lord knows, kids these days spend a fortune on them. And them game machines themselves, they probably cost an arm and a leg. Back in my day, we entertained ourselves with a ball and a stick. Didn’t need no fancy contraptions!
Now, some folks say these games are bad for you. Make your eyes go square, they say. And all that sittin’ around, ain’t good for your health neither. Gotta get up and move around, get some fresh air! My Johnny, he don’t listen, of course. Kids these days, they think they know it all.
But I reckon, maybe there’s some good to it too. My Johnny, he talks to his friends online, plays games with them. Keeps ’em outta trouble, I suppose. And he learns stuff, too! He told me all about history from one of them games. Who knew you could learn somethin’ from starin’ at a screen?
But this PS3 Lawson thing… still can’t wrap my head around it.
Maybe it’s just another way for folks to spend their money. Like them fancy coffee shops or them cell phones with all them buttons. Seems like there’s always somethin’ new to buy, somethin’ new to figure out. And this old lady, she just can’t keep up! Maybe I’ll just stick to my knittin’ and leave them PS3 Lawsons to the young’uns.
But hey, if you know what this PS3 Lawson thing is, feel free to tell me. I’m always willin’ to learn somethin’ new, even if it’s from a bunch of fancy gizmos.
