Alright, let me tell ya about watchin’ them basketball games, the one with the Spurs and that Warriors team. You know, the one with all them fancy players.
So, you wanna watch the Spurs and the Warriors, huh? Well, it ain’t like the old days, that’s for sure. Back then, you just turned on the TV and there it was. Now, they got all sorts of ways to watch, makes my head spin sometimes.
First off, you got your regular TV. You know, the channels like ABC, ESPN, and TNT. They show the games sometimes, but you gotta check the schedule, seein’ as they don’t show every game. And sometimes, them games are on late, way past my bedtime. I ain’t stayin’ up ’til midnight to watch no basketball game, I tell ya!
Then there’s this thing called “cable.” Seems like everyone’s got it now. If you got cable, you might have these channels like NBC Sports Bay Area or Bally Sports Southwest. They show a lot of the Warriors and Spurs games, ’cause they’re local, ya see. But cable costs a pretty penny, more than I’d like to spend, that’s for sure.
- Local Channels: Sometimes, ABC, ESPN, and TNT show the games. Gotta check the schedule though.
- Regional Sports Networks: If you got cable, NBC Sports Bay Area or Bally Sports Southwest might have the games. But cable’s expensive.
Now, these young folks, they all talkin’ about “streamin’.” Sounds like somethin’ you do with a river, but it ain’t. It’s like watchin’ TV on the computer or your phone. They got these services, like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and DirecTV Stream. They say you can watch all sorts of games on there, but I don’t know nothin’ about it. Seems too complicated for an old woman like me. My grandson tried to show me once, but I just got confused.
And then there’s somethin’ called NBA League Pass. That’s like, if you really, really love basketball, you pay extra and you can watch pretty much any game you want. But it costs a lot, and who’s got time to watch every single game? Not me, I got things to do, like waterin’ my plants and feedin’ the chickens.
If you’re one of them fancy folks with a smartphone, you can probably watch the games on there too. They got apps for everything these days. The Warriors and Spurs have their own apps, and you might be able to watch there, but I ain’t sure how it works. Like I said, all this new technology, it ain’t for me.
Another way to watch, I heard, is goin’ to a sports bar. You know, them places with the big TVs all over the place. That way, you can watch the game with other folks, have a drink, maybe eat some wings. But them places get loud, and I don’t like all that noise. I’d rather sit at home in my comfy chair.
Sometimes, you can even watch the games online, on them websites. But you gotta be careful, some of them websites ain’t safe, ya know? Got all sorts of viruses and whatnot. I wouldn’t trust them. And you know sometimes them websites, they just full of ads! Pop-ups and videos everywhere, can’t even see the game!
Let’s see, what else… Oh yeah, you can sometimes listen to the game on the radio, if you ain’t got a TV or somethin’. They still got radios, believe it or not. But it ain’t the same as watchin’, you know? You don’t get to see the players runnin’ around, dunkin’ the ball and such.
So, there you have it, a whole bunch of ways to watch them Spurs and Warriors play. Me? I’ll probably just stick to watchin’ the highlights on the news, that’s enough excitement for me. Too much runnin’ and jumpin’ for my old eyes. But if you’re younger and full of energy, you got plenty of options. Just find what works for you and enjoy the game.
But if you ask me, the best way to watch is with a good friend and a big bowl of popcorn! That’s what I always say.
Remember, sometimes games are on local channels and sometimes they aren’t. It just depends on the schedule. You gotta keep your eyes peeled or ask one of them young’uns to help you figure it out. They seem to know everything about this stuff.
And for heaven’s sake, don’t spend too much money on it. It’s just a game after all! There are more important things in life, like family and friends. But hey, if watching the Spurs and Warriors makes you happy, then you go ahead and do it. Just don’t blame me if you spend all your money on cable!
Oh, and before I forget, If you do go to the game in person, make sure you wear comfortable shoes, those arenas are big and you’ll be doin’ a lot of walkin’. And bring a sweater, it can get cold in there.
