Alright, let’s talk about this fella, J.T. Poston, and what’s in his golf bag. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I hear folks jabberin’ about him winnin’ and such, so I figured I’d take a peek.
Now, this J.T. Poston, they say he’s from North Carolina. Hickory, to be exact. Started playin’ golf when he was just a young’un, thanks to his daddy. Guess he took to it like a duck to water, ’cause now he’s playin’ on that big PGA Tour, winnin’ tournaments and all.
What’s in the Bag, You Ask?
Well, from what I gather, this boy’s got himself a whole mess of Titleist clubs. Seems he likes ’em. They say he’s got this new GT3 driver. Must be one of them fancy ones, makes the ball go far, I reckon. And irons? He’s usin’ somethin’ called T100 irons. Don’t ask me what that means, but they must work alright if he’s winnin’.
And then there’s them wedges. Vokey SM10, they call ‘em. For gettin’ the ball up close to the hole, I hear. And the putter, oh that putter! A Scotty Cameron GOLO 5. Sounds like somethin’ a rich fella would use, but hey, if it helps him sink them putts, more power to him.
I also heard tell he’s got another putter, a backup they say. No line on it, apparently. Says he don’t like the line on them bumpy greens. Poa greens, he calls ‘em. Fussy fella, ain’t he?
- Driver: Titleist TSR3 Driver (Some say it is GT3, I don’t know)
- Irons: Titleist T100 Irons
- Wedges: Vokey SM10 Wedges
- Putter: Scotty Cameron GOLO 5 Putter (and a backup with no line)
He’s Won a Few Times, I Hear
This fella Poston, he’s won three times on that PGA Tour. Just won that Shriners Children’s Open here in 2024. Shot a real low score one day, 7-under they said. That’s some good shootin’, even I know that. He started playin’ pro back in 2015, so he’s been at it a while. Guess all that practice pays off.
They say he jumped out to the lead after two days at that Shriners thing. Must’ve been playin’ some mighty fine golf. And then held on to win, even though it was close. One stroke, they say. That’s nail-bitin’ stuff, right there.
2nd Swing Golf and All That
I seen somethin’ about 2nd Swing Golf showin’ off pictures of his clubs. They got a bunch of stores, I hear. Sellin’ used clubs and such. Guess if you want to play like J.T., you could go get yourself some of them Titleist clubs. But I reckon it takes more than just fancy clubs to win, you know?
It’s All About the Feel, I Reckon
You know, watchin’ these fellas play golf, it ain’t just about the clubs. It’s about the feel, I think. Gotta know how to hit the ball just right, gotta have a good touch around the greens. And gotta keep your head in the game, even when things get tough.
So, There You Have It
That’s about all I know about J.T. Poston and his golf bag. He’s a good player, that’s for sure. Uses Titleist clubs, wins tournaments. And seems like a fella who knows what he’s doin’ out there on the golf course. Heck, maybe one day I’ll even watch him play on the TV, if I can figure out how to turn the darn thing on.
And one more thing, I saw somethin’ about him bein’ congratulated by the folks who make his clubs and balls. They were happy as clams, I tell ya. Guess when one of their fellas wins, it’s good for business, huh?
Anyway, that’s the story as I see it. J.T. Poston, a golfer with a bag full of Titleist clubs, winnin’ tournaments and makin’ a name for himself. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
