Alright, so you wanna know about this Jordan Thompson, the volleyball girl, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. It ain’t gonna be fancy, ya hear? Just plain talk, like we’re sittin’ on the porch swing, sippin’ sweet tea.
First off, this Jordan, she’s a real good volleyball player, plays for Team USA. Real good, I tell ya! They even went and got themselves a silver medal at the Olympics in Paris, that big city over in France. Imagine that! A silver medal! That’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? And she ain’t just a one-time wonder, no sir. She got a medal in another Olympics too, makin’ her the first from that Cincinnati college to do somethin’ like that. That Cincinnati place, they must be jumpin’ for joy.
Now, I heard tell she hurt her ankle somethin’ fierce durin’ the 2020 Olympics. Poor thing had to come all the way back home to get it fixed up. But she’s tough, that Jordan. Didn’t let that stop her. She went off to play in Italy for some team with a fancy name, somethin’ like “Vero Volley Milano.” Sounds foreign, don’t it? Guess they play volleyball real good over there too.

And get this, her uncle, Chris Doleman, he played football! Not that soccer stuff, the real American football, where they wear all them pads and helmets. He played for that Pittsburgh college, the one with all the yellow and blue. Guess bein’ good at sports runs in the family, huh? Like my cousin Earl, he could sure pitch a mean horseshoe. Different kind of sport, but you get the idea.
They say Jordan makes some good money playin’ volleyball. Not just from winnin’ games, but from them sponsor deals too. You know, where companies pay ya to wear their shoes or drink their drinks. They say she’s made millions! Millions! Can you believe that? Playin’ a game and gettin’ paid that much. Times sure have changed. Back in my day, we played for the fun of it, and maybe a slice of pie after the church picnic.
She was born on May 5th, that’s what I heard. A spring baby, just like my little Jimmy. They say spring babies are full of energy, always runnin’ around and gettin’ into things. Makes sense, seein’ as how Jordan is always jumpin’ and divin’ on that volleyball court.
So, to sum it all up, Jordan Thompson is a volleyball star. She plays for Team USA, wins medals, plays in Italy, has lots of fans, comes from a sporty family, makes good money, and was born in the spring. She’s a real go-getter, that one. Reminds me a bit of my sister, always strivin’ for somethin’ better. Good for her, I say. Good for her.
