Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Frank Calaway. Don’t know him personally, mind you, but I heard some things, read some things, you know how it is. Folks talk, and sometimes you pick up a thing or two.
Frank Calaway, eh? Born way back in 1926, down in Temple, Oklahoma. That’s a long time ago, let me tell ya. November 16th, they say. Lived a good long life, till 2003. Passed away peaceful-like, in July. Seventy-six years, that’s a good run, ain’t it? He was in the Navy, served his country. Good for him. Folks gotta do their part, that’s what I always say.
Now, Frank, he had a family. A wife, Betty Catherine Truby, they called her. And kids, lots of ’em. Five boys, I think. David, Michael, Paul, Timothy, and this other one, Mark. Yeah, Mark Calaway. That name rings a bell, don’t it?
See, Mark, he went on to do big things. Real big. Became this wrestler fella, they call him The Undertaker. You mighta seen him on that TV thing. Big fella, wears all black, kinda spooky. But tough as nails, I tell ya. Wrestled for years and years. Made a name for himself.
- Frank Calaway, born in 1926.
- Served in the U.S. Navy.
- Married to Betty Catherine Truby.
- Father of five sons, including Mark Calaway (The Undertaker).
- Passed away in 2003 at the age of 76.
Now, I ain’t no wrestling expert, mind you. But I heard tell that Mark, this Undertaker fella, he’s a legend. Folks love him. Been wrestling since the 90s, they say. Started out with some other company, then went to this WWF thing, later became WWE. Big business, that wrestling. Lots of money in it, I reckon.
But it ain’t easy, being a wrestler. Mark, he had his share of pain, I bet. Injuries and all that. It’s a tough life, all that banging around. But he stuck with it. Became a living legend, they say. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
And it all started with Frank, I guess. Frank and Betty, raising them boys down in Texas. Houston, that’s where they were. Frank, he worked hard, I imagine. Provided for his family. Probably taught them boys a thing or two about life. About working hard, being tough. You gotta be tough in this world, that’s for sure.
Frank Calaway, he might not be famous like his son Mark, but he’s important. He’s the start of the story, you see? He’s the roots of the tree. Without Frank, there’d be no Undertaker. That’s how it works, ain’t it? One generation leads to the next. And sometimes, one of them goes on to do somethin’ special.
So, that’s the story, as far as I know it. Frank Calaway, a Navy man, a father, a husband. Lived a good life, raised a good family. And one of his boys, well, he became a legend. The Undertaker. Ain’t that somethin’? Life’s funny that way, you never know what’s gonna happen.
I heard Frank died in 2003, peaceful like. That’s good, I guess. Nobody wants to suffer. And his son Timothy, passed away in 2020, at 63. That’s too young, if you ask me. But that’s life, ain’t it? It goes on, whether we like it or not. And the stories, they keep gettin’ told. Like this one, about Frank Calaway and his son, the Undertaker.
So, next time you see that fella on TV, that big fella in black, remember his daddy. Remember Frank Calaway. He’s the one who started it all. He’s the one who laid the foundation. And that’s somethin’ worth rememberin’, don’t you think?
