Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… “merchant locations” in that Lies of P game, whatever that is. My grandson, he’s always yammering about it. Says it’s some kinda fancy game with puppets and whatnot. Anyway, he showed me some stuff, and I’ll tell ya what I figured out, in my own words, mind you.
So, first off, seems like there’s a bunch of these merchants, peddlin’ their wares all over the place. Like them door-to-door salesmen, but with swords and magic potions, I reckon. One fella, they call him Alidoro, he’s a special one. He sells you fancy weapons and trinkets, but you gotta give him somethin’ called “Ergo” first. Sounds like hard work to me. You find him first in some church library, after takin’ an elevator. Elevators, I tell ya, always breakin’ down. Later on, who knows where he goes. Probably off to sell his stuff to some other poor soul.
Then there’s these “Wandering Merchants.” Wanderin’ around, just like their name says. They’re scattered all over, and they got all sorts of things you might need. My grandson says they’re “incredibly helpful.” Helpful, schmelpful, they just wanna sell ya somethin’, that’s what I say. But I guess if you need a potion or a new weapon, they’re the folks to go to. There’s seven of them, they say. Seven! That’s a whole lotta wanderin’ if you ask me. Probably got nothin’ better to do.
- One of ’em, they say you can find him in Elysion Boulevard. That sounds like a fancy place. You gotta beat some “Parade Master” first, whatever that is. Sounds dangerous. Then you go on ’til you find some house with a “Stargazer.” Stars inside a house? City folk are strange. Anyway, he’s in a room on the left. Can’t miss him, they say.
- Another one, they call him Test Subject 826. Poor fella, bein’ a test subject. He’s near some wall, the “Arche Abbey Outer Wall.” Walls everywhere, seems like. Can’t go anywhere without runnin’ into a wall.
- And there’s this other fella, not in a house, but outside, before you get to these three yellow dog-things. Dog-things? I swear, this game sounds crazier and crazier. You gotta go up some stairs to find him. Stairs, always stairs. My knees ain’t what they used to be.
- Then there’s the one in that Red Lobster Inn, in the middle of part 5. Lobsters! Now we’re talkin’. But this one just sells throwin’ stuff, bottles and such. Not even real lobsters. Disappointing, if you ask me. But my grandson says those bottles are good for fightin’. Kids these days, always fightin’.
Now, these merchants, they ain’t just sellin’ the same old stuff all the time. Seems like you can make them sell more things, by findin’ these “supply boxes.” There’s six of them, they say. Three for this Polendina fella, and three for some Pulcinella. Fancy names, I tell ya. These boxes, they make new things show up in the stores. Like magic! Or maybe just good business sense. I don’t know, never ran a store myself. Too much work.
So, that’s about all I know about these merchant fellas. Seems like a lot of trouble just to buy a sword or a potion, if you ask me. But the young folks, they love this stuff. Always runnin’ around, fightin’ monsters, and buyin’ things from strange merchants. Me? I’ll stick to my garden and my chickens. At least they don’t try to sell me magic potions.
And listen here, this game, it’s got all sorts of things. Not just merchants, but weapons too, lots of ‘em. My grandson showed me a list, longer than my arm. Swords, axes, all sorts of pokey things. And those amulets, little charms you wear, I guess they do something. Make you stronger, or faster, or luckier, who knows? Sounds like a lot of hocus pocus to me.
So, if you’re playin’ this Lies of P game, keep an eye out for these merchants. They might just have somethin’ you need. But don’t go spendin’ all your money on fancy weapons. Save some for a good loaf of bread, that’s what I say. Bread’ll keep you alive longer than any magic potion.
