Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Joel Damen. I ain’t no fancy golf expert or nothin’, but I seen him on that there TV, the one with all them shows. They call him a golfer, plays on the PGA Tour, whatever that is. Sounds important, I guess.

This Joel fella, born way back in 1987, November 11th to be exact, in a place called Clarkston. Don’t know where that is, but it’s somewhere, right? He’s one of them American golfers, plays on that big tour, the PGA thingamajig. They say he’s pretty good, though I ain’t never seen him hit a ball myself.

Now, this Joel, he ain’t like them other fellas on TV, all stiff and serious. He seems like a regular fella, ya know? Cracks jokes and all. Heard tell he made a “great bogey” at some big golf thing, the U.S. Open. Don’t know what a bogey is, but if he says it’s great, must be somethin’, right? And he’s not super high up in the rankings, number 99 or something, but people still like him. It’s kind of a big deal.

He seems like a good ol’ boy.

He’s on that Netflix show.

They made a whole show about him and some other golfers on that Netflix thing. Called it “Full Swing.” Watched some of it with my grandkids. It’s about Joel and his caddie, this fella named Geno Bonnalie. A caddie, that’s the fella who carries the golf sticks, I reckon. Geno seems like a good fella too, always stickin’ by Joel.

This Netflix show, it shows ya what Joel’s life is like, playin’ golf and all. He says he’s amazed folks are interested in him. Seems like a humble fella, not like them city slickers with their noses in the air. He’s real popular with the fans, always stopping to chat and sign autographs. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Being famous and still bein’ nice.

One time, they even talked about Joel and death. Don’t know what that was all about, but it was on the show. Maybe he’s thinkin’ ’bout life after golf, who knows? He’s just a regular fella, like I said, with the same worries and thoughts as the rest of us, I reckon.

And this golf thing he does, it ain’t always easy. Sometimes he messes up, just like the rest of us. Heard tell he got slapped with some penalty strokes once, for havin’ too many golf sticks. Imagine that! Even them pros make mistakes.

But he keeps on goin’, this Joel. He finished pretty good at some tournament, better than anyone thought he would. Even kept his PGA card, whatever that is. Seems important to him, so good for him, I say.

So, that’s Joel Damen for ya. A regular fella who plays golf real good, is on a Netflix show, and seems like a decent human bein’. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, I tell ya. He’s just a fella tryin’ to make a livin’, same as the rest of us. And if he can do it playin’ golf, well, good on him.
