Alright, listen up, y’all. You wanna know how to showboat in this Madden 24 game? My grandkids, they play this thing all the time, makin’ all sorts of noise. I watched ‘em enough to figure some things out. It ain’t rocket science, I tell ya.
First off, what’s this “showboat” thing anyway? Seems like a fancy word for makin’ a big fuss after you score. Like struttin’ around like a rooster in a henhouse. My grandpappy used to say, “If you gonna do somethin’, do it big,” and I guess that applies even to this here video game.
Now, from what I see, scoring touchdowns is the main thing. You get that ball across the line, that’s when the fun starts. You wanna make those youngins online mad? You wanna show ‘em who’s boss? Then you gotta learn how to celebrate right.
- First thing, you get yourself a touchdown. Run that ball, throw that ball, whatever it takes. Just get it in the end zone.
- Then, and this is the important part, you gotta hold down some buttons. My grandson, he says it’s the LT and RT buttons together on that Xbox thingy, or the L2 and R2 on the PlayStation. Sounds like gibberish to me, but you kids know what I’m talkin’ about.
- After you hold down them buttons, you gotta press another one. Seems like the “A” button or the “X” button, dependin’ on which machine you’re usin’.
And that’s it! That’s how you showboat. Your fella on the screen, he’ll start dancin’ around, doin’ all sorts of silly stuff. My grandson, he gets real worked up when the other guys do it to him. Hops around like a flea on a hot skillet. It’s right funny to watch.
Now, there’s other stuff you can do too. I seen my grandkids doin’ all kinds of dances and whatnot. They say you can use the sticks, those little knobs you wiggle around, to do different moves. Wiggle ‘em this way, wiggle ‘em that way, and your fella will do something different. It’s like those fancy line dancin’ they do down at the town hall, only more…video gamey.
But listen here, it ain’t all fun and games. My grandson tells me some folks get real mad when you showboat too much. Said it ain’t a good way to make friends. Well, I say, who needs friends when you’re winnin’? But I guess you gotta be careful, some folks get their feathers ruffled real easy.
They say there’s these “end zone dives” too. Sounds dangerous, like jumpin’ into a pile of hay, only less soft. Apparently, you can do special celebrations if you dive into the endzone. My grandkids, they’re always yellin’ about “epic celebrations.” I reckon that means they’re extra fancy. More like a peacock than a rooster, I guess.
And get this, you can even showboat with your teammates! If you got one of your fellas runnin’ alongside you, you can both do a little dance. That’s what my grandson calls “a gem”. Seems like a good way to rub it in, if you ask me. Two fellas dancin’ around, makin’ the other team look silly. Now that’s what I call fun.
