Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this Miss Hina, somethin’ the young’uns are all yappin’ about. Heard it from my grandson, always glued to that there phone. This Miss Hina, she’s from that game, Genshin Impact. Don’t ask me what that is, some kinda fancy picture show, I reckon.
Now, from what I gather, Miss Hina ain’t a real person, see? She’s like a character in a story. A made-up person, like them soap operas my daughter watches. But this Miss Hina, she’s a big deal, apparently. Folks are all excited ’bout her.
They say she showed up in some update, version 2.3 or somethin’. These youngsters and their numbers, I tell ya. Anyway, this Miss Hina, she caused a real stir. People started talkin’ ’bout her all over the place. On them internet thingies, what they call… Twit…ter? Yeah, that’s it. And some other place, Hoyo- somethin’. Like a town square for these game folks, I guess.
The funny thing is, Miss Hina, she’s got a secret, see? Like a juicy bit of gossip in the village. Turns out, she’s not who everyone thinks she is. It’s like a dress-up game, a kinda masquerade. And the fella behind Miss Hina, well, that’s where it gets interestin’.
- It’s this dog-eared boy named Gorou. Yeah, you heard that right. A fella named Gorou pretending to be Miss Hina.
- Why, you ask? Well, seems like this Yae Miko lady, she’s a real trickster, she made him do it. For money, I reckon. To sell more of them books or somethin’. They call it “That’s Life” column. Sounds like somethin’ my old neighbor Mildred would read.
- So, Gorou, he puts on a wig and a fancy dress, and poof! He’s Miss Hina. A gentle, kind lady who gives advice. Imagine that! A tough fella like Gorou playin’ dress-up.
Now, this Gorou, he’s a general or somethin’. A fighter, not a fancy lady writin’ stories. But Yae Miko, she’s smart, she is. She knew this Miss Hina thing would be a hit. And it was. Folks loved Miss Hina. They didn’t know it was Gorou all along, of course. That’s the secret.
And they go on and on about her looks too. My grandson showed me a picture. She’s pretty, I guess, in that game kinda way. Big eyes, fancy clothes, you know the type. But knowing it’s Gorou under all that, well, that just tickles me pink.
This whole Miss Hina business, it’s like a big ol’ play. Everyone’s got their part to play. Yae Miko, she’s the director, pullin’ the strings. Gorou, he’s the actor, puttin’ on a show. And the folks playin’ the game, they’re the audience, cheerin’ and gossiping. It’s a whole lotta fuss over a made-up person, but I guess that’s how things are these days.
And they worry about keepin’ this secret, see? They don’t want Gorou’s cover to be blown. Apparently, it wouldn’t be practical for Gorou to be outed, it would ruin the whole thing. Imagine the scandal in their little game world!
So, that’s the gist of it. Miss Hina, ain’t real, it’s Gorou. A dog-eared general pretending to be a sweet lady. It’s a silly thing, all this fuss over a video game character, but it keeps the young’uns entertained, I suppose. And as long as they ain’t causin’ trouble, well, let ’em have their fun. That’s what I say.
I still don’t understand why they get so riled up about this stuff. Back in my day, we had real things to worry about, like crops and weather. But times change, I guess. And maybe, just maybe, there’s somethin’ to this Miss Hina thing. Maybe it’s about more than just pictures on a screen. Maybe it’s about stories, and secrets, and pretendin’ to be someone else for a little while. Who knows? I’m just an old woman, what do I know about such things?
