Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… Estrela Amadora versus Benfica game, or whatever they call it. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a bunch of fellas kickin’ a ball, ain’t it?
Now, I heard tell these two teams are gonna play, and folks wanna know who’s gonna be startin’. Lineups, they call it. Like who’s gonna be runnin’ around first, I guess. So, let’s see what the chatter is about these Benfica folks. They got this fella… Trubin, I think his name is. He’s gonna be standin’ in the goal, stoppin’ the ball from goin’ in. Sounds important, right?
Then they got these other fellas… Aursnes, A. Silva, Otamendi, and Morato. Sounds like a bunch of fancy names to me. They’re gonna be the ones tryin’ to keep the other team from gettin’ too close to Trubin. You know, like bodyguards, but for the goal.
In the middle, they got Luis and Kokcu. Don’t ask me what that means. They run around a lot, I reckon, tryin’ to get the ball to the front guys. Then there’s Mario and R. Silva. They’re the ones supposed to be kickin’ the ball into the net, I hear. Scorin’ goals, that’s their job. Sounds easy enough, but them fellas miss a lot, let me tell ya.
- Goalie: Trubin
- Defenders: Aursnes, A. Silva, Otamendi, Morato
- Midfielders: Luis, Kokcu, Mario, R. Silva
- Forwards: Well, they didn’t say who exactly, but them’s the goal kickin’ fellas.
Now, that’s just what I heard, mind you. They could change things up, you know? Coaches, they like to mess around. They got fellas sittin’ on the bench, waitin’ to get in. Soares, the goalie, he’s there if Trubin gets tired, I guess. And then there’s Silva, A, Morato, F, Sanches, R, Rollheiser, B and Di Mara. A whole bunch of ‘em. Probably itchin’ to get in the game.
What about that other team? Amadora, or somethin’? Well, nobody’s talkin’ much about them. Guess they ain’t as important. But they gotta have fellas playin’ too, right? Can’t have Benfica just kickin’ the ball around by themselves. That wouldn’t be much of a game, would it? They got their own goalie, defenders, and all that. Just ain’t nobody tellin’ me their names.
This game, they say it’s on Saturday. And folks wanna know the time, too. Like they can’t just look it up themselves. 19:30 UTC, whatever that means. Must be some fancy time for city folks. Out here in the country, we just go by the sun, you know? When it’s up, it’s time to work. When it’s down, it’s time to sleep. But I guess them fellas gotta play when the TV tells ‘em to.
They also talk about “H2H”, “match stats”, “player ratings”, and all that. H2H? Sounds like hand to hand combat to me. Probably just means how these two teams did against each other before. Stats? That’s just numbers, ain’t it? How many times they kicked the ball, how many times they missed. Player ratings? That’s like givin’ them fellas grades, I reckon. “You done good, son, you get an A.” “You missed the goal, son, you get a C.” Something like that.
And then there’s somethin’ called “Taca de Portugal Year 2025”. Don’t ask me what “Taca” means. Sounds foreign. But it’s another game, I guess. Maybe a cup game? Like when you win a fancy trophy and drink out of it, except probably not. These fellas don’t drink out of no trophy. They just spray champagne all over each other like a bunch of fools.
Anyways, that’s all I know about this here Estrela Amadora versus Benfica game. Lineups and all that. Don’t expect me to know any more, ‘cause I ain’t no expert. Just an old woman who hears things, you know? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. They’re more reliable than these soccer fellas, let me tell ya.
Game day is Saturday, and folks seem excited about it, so it must be a big deal. They’ll be yellin’ and screamin’ at the TV, I bet. Just like when the rooster crows in the mornin’. Only louder, and probably more cussin’ involved.
So, there you have it. The lowdown on the game, best as I can tell ya. Don’t go bettin’ your life savings on it, though. It’s just a game, after all. Nothin’ to get too worked up about.
