Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Kai Trump and her golf game. I heard tell she’s a pretty good golfer, plays over in Florida. Florida, that’s where all them fancy folks go, ain’t it?
Now, they say she’s one of the top girl golfers in the state, ranked in the top 200 or somethin’. That’s a lot of girls, I reckon. She swings that club and gets a score of around 39, on average, they say. For nine holes, I think. Thirty-nine, that’s pretty good, even for a young’un. I remember when my old man used to play, he’d be happy to get a 50, and that was with a lotta luck and maybe a few kicks here and there when nobody was lookin’.
- Kai, that’s a boy’s name where I come from, but they say it’s a girl’s name in some fancy places.
- She’s got a bunch of brothers and sisters, five of ’em, I heard. That’s a whole lotta mouths to feed.
- She’s still in school, gonna graduate in a couple of years, they say. The Benjamin School, sounds highfalutin, don’t it?
Folks are talkin’ about her golf all over the internet, puttin’ her scores and stats and all that stuff up for everyone to see. They got these things called “par breakers” and “birdies”, sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a chicken coop, but I guess it’s fancy golf talk.
I heard she even played golf with that fella, used to be the president, Trump. Yeah, that one. And some other fellas, big strong fellas who can hit the ball a country mile. They say she’s pretty good, holds her own with them fellas.
Now, they got this average score for golfers, they say it’s around 94 for 18 holes. That’s for men and women, I guess. Sounds like a lot of strokes to me. I bet Kai can beat that, bein’ as good as they say she is. Thirty-nine for nine holes, that means she’d probably be in the 70s or 80s for 18, if my old brain can still do math.
They got all kinds of golf things down in Florida, junior golf, tournaments, clubs, courses. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over hittin’ a little white ball. But I guess that’s what them rich folks do for fun.
They also got this thing called the “SFPGA Jr. Tour Player of the Year.” Sounds important. Maybe Kai won it, or maybe she’s tryin’ to win it. They got all these rankings and points and such, makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
I seen some videos of her playin’, on that YouTube thing my grandson showed me. She’s pretty good, got a nice swing. Not like my old man, he used to swing like he was choppin’ wood. And she plays on some real pretty courses, green grass, palm trees, the whole shebang. Makes my old cow pasture look pretty sad, I tell ya.
Anyway, that’s all I know about this Kai Trump and her golf. She’s a good golfer, plays in Florida, and people are talkin’ about her. Maybe she’ll be famous someday, who knows? But golf, it’s just a game, ain’t it? You hit the ball, you find the ball, you hit it again. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Just like life, I reckon.
But I gotta say, hittin’ that little ball into a little hole from far away seems mighty hard. I’d probably lose the ball in the tall grass on the first swing. Anyways, good luck to that young Kai girl, she seems like a hard worker and that’s what counts, no matter what you’re doin’.
