Twelve points is a lot, and anything can happen in basketball. Them fellas runnin’ and jumpin’, ball goin’ this way and that, sometimes the underdog surprises ya. Heck, even those smart fellas can’t see the future. They just lookin’ at numbers and past games. But the game ain’t played on paper, it’s played on the court, right?
The Trail Blazers, You Know…
They been around a while, these Trail Blazers. They even won a championship way back when, in 1977. And they won their conference three times. So they ain’t no pushovers, even if they ain’t been doin’ so great lately. They got pride, them fellas. They ain’t just gonna lay down and let the Nuggets walk all over ’em. They gonna fight, they gonna hustle, and who knows, maybe they’ll pull off a surprise. That’s what makes basketball excitin’, ain’t it? The not knowin’.
So What’s the Deal?
Well, the smart money’s on the Nuggets, that’s for sure. But like I said, basketball’s a funny game. One day you’re on top, the next you’re on the bottom. Portland might not win, but they might keep it close. They might even cover that spread, meanin’ they don’t lose by more than 12 points. Or maybe, just maybe, they’ll pull off an upset. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
