Alright, let’s gab about this Kyle Pitts fella and his ADP, whatever that means. Folks keep yappin’ about it, so I figured I’d chime in, you know, give my two cents.
Now, they tell me this ADP thingy is about where this Kyle boy gets picked in them fantasy football drafts. Sounds fancy, but it’s just folks guessin’ where he’ll land, like predictin’ the weather by lookin’ at the cows’ tails. Seems like some folks think he’s gonna be a big deal, others, well, not so much.
What’s the fuss about Kyle Pitts anyway?
From what I gather, this Kyle Pitts plays for the Atlanta Falcons. He’s a tight end, whatever that is. Sounds like he catches the ball, runs around, and sometimes scores. Last year, they say he didn’t do so hot in that fantasy football stuff. Some games good, some games, well, they were stinkers. Heard he had some knee trouble too, poor fella. Had surgery on it, they say. MCL and PCL, somethin’ like that. Makes me think of my old Bessie cow, had trouble with her knees too, had to put her down, sad day that was.
But folks are still talkin’ about him, so he must be somethin’ special, I reckon. They say he played all 17 games last year even with that bad knee, so he’s tough, gotta give him that. But toughness don’t always mean touchdowns, does it? He had some good games, finished in the top 12 tight ends a few times, but then he’d have some real clunkers too, way down at the bottom.
ADP and why it matters, or does it?
So, this ADP number, they say it’s like a guessin’ game. They look at all the drafts happenin’ and see where Kyle’s gettin’ picked on average. Right now, I heard it’s somethin’ around 66.67. That means, on average, he’s gettin’ picked around the 66th or 67th player overall.
- Now, some folks say that ADP is a good way to know who’s gonna be good. They call it the “Wisdom of the Crowd” effect, which sounds mighty fancy to me. It’s like when you see a bunch of birds flyin’ in the same direction, you figure they know somethin’ you don’t.
- But other folks, well, they say it’s just a bunch of folks guessin’ and sometimes they guess wrong. Like when my rooster crows at 3 am thinkin’ it’s sunrise. He ain’t always right, that’s for sure.
Kyle Pitts versus other tight ends
They got other tight ends too, you know. This Travis Kelce fella and some new guy, Sam LaPorta. Folks are pickin’ them way earlier than Kyle. Kelce, he’s been around, a real veteran, like my old John Deere tractor, reliable and gets the job done. LaPorta, he’s the new shiny toy, everyone wants to see what he can do. And then there’s Andrews, another popular fella.
So, if you’re draftin’ and you see both Andrews and Pitts sittin’ there, well, it depends on what kind of gambler you are. You wanna play it safe, you go with Andrews. You feelin’ lucky, you might take a chance on Kyle. It’s like plantin’ seeds, you never really know what’s gonna sprout until harvest time.
What to expect from Kyle Pitts this year?
Now, nobody really knows for sure what Kyle’s gonna do this year. The Falcons, they ain’t the best at letting tight ends catch the ball a whole lot, they like to make them fellas work for it, you know? Tight coverage, they say. So, Kyle might not be catchin’ a hundred balls, but maybe he’ll catch enough to make it worth pickin’ him. They’re callin’ him a low-end TE1, which I guess means he’ll be okay, but not great. Like a decent tomato plant, not the biggest, but gives you a few good tomatoes.
They got folks predictin’ his points every week, this week 13 thing, but it’s all just guesswork, you ask me. You gotta keep an eye on him, see how he’s playin’, if he’s healthy, if he’s catchin’ the ball. And if you’re really serious, you gotta check the news, see if he’s got any owies or if the coach likes him or not. All that stuff matters, more than some fancy number, I reckon.
Anyways, that’s my take on this Kyle Pitts and his ADP. Take it or leave it, it ain’t gospel, just a bit of common sense from an old woman who’s seen a thing or two. Good luck with your fantasy teams, and remember, it’s just a game. Don’t go gettin’ your knickers in a twist over it. There are more important things in life, like a good cup of coffee and a warm biscuit in the morning.
