Alright, let’s gab a bit about this Mike McDaniel fella and his woman. You know, the football coach guy? Seems like everyone’s yappin’ about ’em, so I figured, why not me too?
So, this Mike, he’s hitched to a gal named Katie. Katie McDaniel, that’s her name now. But before she was hitched, she was a Katie Hemstalk. Sounds like a good ol’ country name, don’t it? Reminds me of my cousin Bessie, always had a hankerin’ for them fancy beauty things.
Now, what does this Katie do? Well, she ain’t no football player, that’s for sure. She’s all about makin’ folks look pretty. A cosmetologist, they call it. And somethin’ else too, a esthetician. Big words, huh? Basically, she’s good with hair and skin and all that girly stuff. You know, makin’ folks look their best. She got her papers and all, official like, from California. Good for her, I say. Always good to have a trade.
How’d they meet, you ask? Well, it wasn’t at no church social, that’s for sure. Seems like it was back in 2010, when Mike was coachin’ them runnin’ backs for the Sacramento Mountain Lions. Some kinda football team, I reckon. They bumped into each other, and sparks flew, I guess. Though, I heard tell it wasn’t all smooth sailin’. Mike, he tells this story ’bout seein’ Katie dancin’ with one of his players at a nightclub! Can you imagine? But I guess it all worked out in the end.
They dated for a spell, then tied the knot in 2014. Katie, she’s from Oroville, California, born in 1983. Same age as my niece Sarah, wouldn’t ya know it. And they got themselves a little one, a baby girl, born in 2020. A family man, that Mike. Good for him, I say.
