Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about this… uh… “in pursuit of knowledge smt v” thing. I ain’t no fancy scholar, ya hear? But I know a thing or two about figgerin’ stuff out, just like them city folks with their big words.
So, what’s this SMT V all about? From what I gather, it’s one of them games the youngsters play, all about monsters and fightin’ and whatnot. Sounds like a heap of trouble to me, but they seem to like it. This “Vengeance” part, I reckon it means you gotta get back at somebody, like old man Johnson when he stole my prize-winning pumpkin last year. But in the game, it’s with, you know, demons and magic and such.
- First off, they say this game is harder than some other monster games. Like, they got this other game, “Persona,” but this “SMT V” is the real tough one. Reminds me of tryin’ to get that mule outta the mud last spring. Took all darn day, it did. They say you can make it easier, but where’s the fun in that? Life ain’t easy, and neither should be your games, I always say.
- Then there’s this fella you play as in the game. He don’t got no name, really. They call him somethin’ fancy in the computer talk, but to me, he’s just “that kid.” He’s gotta go around fightin’ and learnin’ and doin’ all sorts of things. Kinda like when my grandson Billy had to learn how to fix the tractor all by himself. Threw a wrench at me, he did, that little rascal.
Now, in this game, you gotta make choices. They say most choices don’t matter too much, just change some talkin’ and who likes ya. But some choices, oh boy, they can change everything. Kinda like when I decided to marry old Jedediah instead of running off with that smooth-talkin’ salesman. One decision can change your whole life, ya know?
And how do you get stronger in this game? Well, you gotta explore, they say. Go every which way, look under every rock. Reminds me of huntin’ for mushrooms in the woods. Gotta know where to look, gotta be patient. And you gotta do these side quests, little jobs for folks. They pay you better than just fightin’ monsters all day. Just like how I used to make extra money sellin’ pies at the county fair. Work smarter, not harder, that’s what I always say.
There’s this one quest, they call it “In Pursuit of Knowledge.” Sounds mighty important, don’t it? You find it up on top of some buildin’, a medical place. Now, I ain’t never been to no medical place like that, but I reckon it’s where them doctors do their doctorin’. And in this quest, you gotta answer some questions. I bet they ain’t easy questions, neither. Probably tryin’ to trick ya, like them city slickers tryin’ to sell you swampland.
So, what’s the big deal with all this fightin’ and explorin’ and learnin’? Well, they say it’s all about gettin’ stronger, gettin’ better demons, and fusin’ them together. Sounds like makin’ sausage to me, but I guess it works. And you gotta keep at it. Can’t just give up when things get tough. Just like when I had to learn how to drive that ol’ pickup truck. Stalled it a hundred times, I did, but I finally got the hang of it. And that’s what this game is all about, I reckon. Perseverance. That’s a big word, but it just means keep on keepin’ on, no matter what.
So, if you’re playin’ this SMT V: Vengeance game, remember what I said. Explore, do them side quests, and don’t give up when things get tough. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll learn somethin’ along the way. More than just how to fight monsters, anyway. Maybe you’ll learn somethin’ about yourself. Now, that’s real knowledge, ain’t it?
And don’t forget, common sense goes a long way. If somethin’ looks dangerous, it probably is. Just like that time Billy tried to ride the bull. Landed him flat on his behind, it did. So, use your head, be careful, and have fun. That’s all there is to it, really. Just like life, this game is about learnin’ and growin’ and makin’ your own way. And that’s somethin’ even an old lady like me can understand.
