Alright, let’s talk about them wrestlers from back in the day, you know, the 80s and 90s. Them fellas, they were somethin’ else. Not like these fancy pants fellas you see on TV now. These guys, they were tough, real tough.
The Big Names, Ya Know?
First off, you gotta talk about Hulk Hogan. Big fella, muscles everywhere. He was always yellin’ and rippin’ his shirt. Everybody loved him. He wrestled for that WWF, the one everyone watched.
Then there was Randy Savage. “Macho Man,” they called him. He was wild, always jumpin’ around and yellin’ “Oh yeah!” He and Hogan, they had some real good fights. People still talk about them, you know? A true legend, that’s what they say.
- Hulk Hogan – Big muscles, ripped his shirt a lot.
- Randy Savage – “Macho Man”, “Oh yeah!”
And don’t forget about them other fellas. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, he was a crazy one, always stirrin’ up trouble. And Dusty Rhodes, “The American Dream,” he was a good talker, made you believe anything he said. Ric Flair, “The Nature Boy,” he was all fancy and wore them sparkly robes. He’d strut around like he owned the place, and you know what? Maybe he did.
Some Other Tough Guys
There were so many of ’em, hard to keep track. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, he was tough as nails. Jerry “The King” Lawler, he could talk your ear off and wrestle too. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, he was jumpin’ off the top rope, doin’ all sorts of crazy stuff. Them fellas from Boston, they were tough too. Heard tell of one who tore up Florida. Tough as they come.
The 90s, Things Changed a Bit
Then came the 90s, and things got a little different. You had Bret “The Hitman” Hart, he was a real good wrestler, knew all sorts of moves. And “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, he was stompin’ around, drinkin’ beer, and givin’ people the “Stone Cold Stunner.” And that Rock fella, he was smilin’ and talkin’ trash, entertainin’ the folks, ya know?
Wrestling Was Everywhere Back Then
Back then, wrestling was on all the time. You had the WWF, WCW, ECW, all these different places. Wrestlers would jump around, goin’ from one place to another. It was excitin’, never knew what was gonna happen next. Some of them wrestlers, they say they didn’t get the credit they deserved. Maybe so, maybe so. But they were somethin’ special, them 80s and 90s wrestlers.
Those Golden Age Wrestlers
Now, they talk about the “Golden Age of Wrestling,” that was way back before, in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Them fellas were older, some even over 75. Heard tell of one fella lived to be almost a hundred! But the 80s and 90s, that was my time, the time I remember. Them wrestlers, they were larger than life, stronger than anyone I ever saw. They made ya cheer, they made ya boo, they made ya feel somethin’. That’s what mattered.
They Made You Feel Somethin’
You see, them 80s and 90s wrestlers, they were special. They weren’t just fightin’, they were tellin’ a story. They were good guys and bad guys, and you knew who to root for. They made you feel somethin’, made you wanna jump outta your seat and yell. Not like these fellas today, all flippin’ and floppin’ around. Them 80s and 90s wrestlers, they were the real deal.
Wrestling Today Ain’t the Same
I tell ya, wrestling ain’t the same anymore. It’s all fancy moves and not much heart. Back then, those guys, they put their heart and soul into every match. You could see it in their eyes, they meant business. They were tough, they were strong, and they were entertaining. And that’s why we still remember them, all these years later. The best darn wrestlers there ever were, that’s what I say.
