Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Lee Klose. Don’t know her from Adam, but I heard some things, ya know, gossip spreads like wildfire ’round here. So, this Lee Klose, seems she’s been stirrin’ up a bit of a fuss.

Now, from what I gather, Lee Klose was born way out in California, but ended up in Arizona. Arizona, that’s where all them old folks go to dry out, ain’t it? Anyway, she’s there now, in Sedona they say. Pretty place, but hot as blazes, I reckon.
- Born in California
- Lives in Arizona, Sedona to be exact
They say she wrote a book. A book! Can you believe it? “Late for the Buss: An Adoption Story,” they call it. Somethin’ about bein’ adopted, I think. Land sakes, who’d a thunk it? Apparently, her own ma and pa gave her up. Said it was ’cause she was a girl. Imagine that! Givin’ away your own flesh and blood just ’cause they ain’t the right gender. Times were tough, I guess, or maybe they were just plain mean.
This Buss fella, seems he was her daddy, the real one. A big shot, they say, owned some basketball team or somethin’. Never cared much for basketball myself, all that runnin’ and jumpin’, makes my head spin. But this Buss, he had a bunch of kids, and Lee was the first one, but he gave her away like an old pair of shoes. Later on, he had more kids, boys mostly, I bet. Men always wantin’ boys, so they can carry on the family name, or some such nonsense.
This Lee Klose, she didn’t know nothin’ ’bout it for years. Then her ma, after the daddy Buss died, up and told her the truth. Can you imagine the shock? Like a bolt outta the blue, I tell ya. And then Lee, she found some papers, adoption papers they call ’em, and it was all there in black and white. Proof as plain as the nose on your face.
Now, there’s this other Buss, Johnny, I think his name is. He wrote somethin’ in Lee’s book, a foreword they call it. Guess he’s one of them Buss kids, the ones they kept. Probably feelin’ a bit guilty, I reckon. Or maybe he’s just tryin’ to make a buck off the whole story. You never know with these city folk.
They talk about Lee Klose’s reputation, say you can find it online. Court records and such. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds fancy. And they say somethin’ about her net worth. Guess that means how much money she’s got. Probably not much, considerin’ she was given away like a stray dog. But who knows, maybe this book of hers made her a pile of money. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.
Folks are lookin’ up her family tree, too. On somethin’ called MyHeritage. Sounds like a big ol’ mess to me. Why go stirrin’ up the past like that? What’s done is done, I always say. But these young folks, they like to dig around, don’t they? Always lookin’ for somethin’, even if it ain’t there to be found.
So, that’s the story of Lee Klose, as far as I can tell. A girl given away, a secret revealed, and a book written. And now everyone’s talkin’ ’bout her. Makes you think, don’t it? About family and secrets and how the past can come back to haunt ya. Or maybe it just makes you wanna shake your head and say, “Well, ain’t that somethin’?” That’s what I say, anyway. Ain’t that somethin’? This Lee Klose, she sure stirred up a hornet’s nest, didn’t she?

And all this talk about financial struggles bein’ the reason. Hmph, sounds like a sorry excuse to me. If you can’t afford to raise a child, you shouldn’t be havin’ ‘em in the first place. But that’s just my two cents. This Jerry Buss, sound like a piece of work, givin’ away his own flesh and blood like that.
They say Jeanie, another one of them Buss kids, was stunned to find out about Lee. Well, I’d be stunned too! Imagine findin’ out you got a whole ‘nother sister you never knew about. And it’s all because your daddy didn’t want a girl. Makes you wonder what kind of man he really was. Family’s supposed to stick together, not give each other away like unwanted kittens. But I guess that’s just how some folks are, heartless and cold as a winter’s night.
