Well, howdy there! You wanna know ’bout them folks talkin’ on the TV for the Alabama game today? Alright, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I ain’t no scholar. Just plain talk, like we’re sittin’ on the porch sippin’ sweet tea.
Who’s gabbin’ on the TV for the Alabama game today? That’s what you’re askin’, right? Okay, so sometimes it’s this fella named Chris Fowler. He’s the main talker, the one tellin’ you what’s happenin’ on the field. He’s been doin’ it for a long time, knows his stuff, I reckon.
Then there’s this other fella, Kirk Herbstreit. He used to play football, so he knows all the ins and outs. He tells you why them boys are doin’ what they’re doin’, the plays and all that. Sometimes he gets all excited, yellin’ and such. Makes it kinda fun to watch, even if I don’t always understand what he’s sayin’!
- Chris Fowler – He’s the play-by-play guy, the one tellin’ ya what’s goin’ on.
- Kirk Herbstreit – He’s the color commentator, the one explainin’ the plays and why they do what they do.
Now, these fellas, they work for ESPN or ABC. Those are big TV channels, you know. They show all sorts of games. So, if you’re watchin’ the Alabama game, chances are it’s on one of them channels, and you’ll hear Chris and Kirk talkin’. They’re like the main team, the A-team they call ‘em. They do the big games, the important ones.
But sometimes, it ain’t them. Sometimes, they got other folks talkin’. See, there’s a whole bunch of games, and them fellas can’t be everywhere at once. It’s like tryin’ to be in two places at the same time, can’t be done, right? So, they gotta switch it up sometimes. They might have some other fellas, or maybe even a lady talkin’. I don’t always remember their names, to be honest. Too many names to keep track of, you know?
And, it depends on when the game is played. If it’s a big game at night, a primetime game they call it, then you’re more likely to get Chris and Kirk. They save them for the big show, I guess. Like puttin’ on your Sunday best for church, you know? But if it’s just a regular afternoon game, then it could be anybody. Could be some fellas I ain’t never heard of before.
I remember one time, they had this fella talkin’, and he just kept talkin’ and talkin’. Never shut up, hardly. I wanted to tell him to hush up and let me watch the game! Some of them just talk too much, if you ask me. They tell you everything that just happened, you just seen it with your own eyes! But I guess that’s their job, right? They gotta fill up the time, keep you entertained. Even when there ain’t nothin’ much happenin’.
Announcers for the Alabama Football Games. That’s what we’re talkin’ about, ain’t it? Well, it ain’t always the same folks, like I said. But if it’s a big game, a really important one, then you can bet your bottom dollar it’ll be Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit. They’re the top dogs, the ones they bring in when they want to make it special. And they do a pretty good job, I reckon. They know their football, that’s for sure.
Sometimes, I just turn down the sound and watch the game myself. Don’t need nobody tellin’ me what’s happenin’. I got eyes, don’t I? But sometimes, it’s nice to hear what they have to say. Especially if it’s a close game, a real nail-biter. They get all worked up, and it makes it more excitin’.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about the folks talkin’ on the TV for the Alabama game. It ain’t much, maybe, but it’s the truth as far as I know it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go get back to my chores. Got a whole heap of laundry to do, and supper ain’t gonna cook itself! And remember, Alabama football announcers are just there to help you understand the game, and enjoy it all the more. Just don’t let ‘em talk your ear off!
And one last thing, if you really want to know for sure who’s talking today, just look on the TV guide, or that internet thingy the young folks use. It’ll tell you right there who’s gonna be gabbin’ on the TV. That’s the easiest way to find out, I reckon.
