Don’t remember the exact number, but it was a lot. He’s like a bull in a china shop, that one, but in a good way, you know? He gets things done.
- Then there’s Bam Adebayo. Big fella, strong as an ox. He was grabbin’ them rebounds left and right, like he was pickin’ apples off a tree. And he put the ball in the hoop too, a few times. Good player, that Bam.
- And don’t forget about Kyle Lowry. That little fella is quick, like a squirrel. He’s good at passin’ the ball and settin’ up his teammates. He scored some points too, but he’s more of a helper, you know? Gets the ball movin’.
Them Mavericks, they got some good players too. That Luka Dončić, he’s a fancy one. He can dribble the ball real good, and he can shoot from anywhere. He scored a whole mess of points, I think. But it wasn’t enough, not this time. He’s a tall drink of water, that Luka.
And that other fella, Kristaps Porziņģis, the tall skinny one, he can shoot too. He’s like a beanpole, but he’s got a good shot. He scored some points, but not enough to win. He needs to eat more, I think. Too skinny.
This whole Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks thing, it’s a big deal, I guess. Folks get all worked up about it. They yell and cheer and wave them signs. I don’t get it, but it’s fun to watch. It’s like a big ol’ party, but with basketball.
I heard tell that the Mavericks won a couple games against the Heat lately, but not this one. This one belonged to the Heat. They were just better, I reckon. They wanted it more, maybe. Or maybe they just got lucky. Who knows?

I saw one game result, it said Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks on a Sunday, an excitin’ Sunday it was. Another time they played and the Mavericks won. Seems like these two teams, they like to go at it. It’s like a good ol’ fashioned rivalry, you know? Like them Hatfields and McCoys, but with basketballs instead of guns.

And that Luka Dončić kid, I’m tellin’ ya, he’s a handful. He just wouldn’t quit. He kept trying to make something happen. I give him credit for that. He’s a real talent. But like I said, it wasn’t enough this time.
