Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Don Yee. Folks say he’s a big shot agent for them sports fellers, ya know, the ones runnin’ around throwin’ balls and such.
Who’s this Don Yee fella, anyways?
Now, I ain’t never met him myself, but they say he’s part of somethin’ called Yee & Dubin. Sounds fancy, don’t it? It’s like a… a group, I guess, that helps these sports fellers with their jobs. Kinda like how the co-op helps us farmers, but with more money and fancy suits, I reckon.
- He helps them football players, the ones on TV. Big names, they say.
- He even helps the fellas who tell the players what to do, the coaches.
They call him a “sports agent.” Sounds important. Like he’s the one makin’ sure them boys get paid right and don’t get cheated. Good for him, I say. Somebody gotta look out for ’em, all that runnin’ and jumpin’ they do.
Don Yee and his Football Guys
This Don Yee, he’s got a whole bunch of these football fellas he works with. I heard tell of some of ’em. There’s this Tom Brady fella, retired now, I think. Folks used to go crazy over him. Always on the TV, throwin’ that ball like it was nothin’. Don Yee, he was the one helpin’ Tom Brady with his job stuff, makin’ sure he got paid good, I bet.
Then there’s this Jimmy somethin’-or-other, plays for the Rams now. Another one of Don Yee’s boys. And that Julian Edelman, used to catch balls from Tom Brady, I think. Don Yee, he was lookin’ after them too.
And don’t forget them coaches! That Sean Payton fella, the one coachin’ the Broncos now, he’s with Don Yee too. See, Don Yee, he ain’t just for the players, he helps the coaches too. Smart fella, that Don Yee.
Don Yee Makes a Living Doing This
Now, you might be wonderin’, how does this Don Yee fella make a livin’? Well, it’s simple. He gets a piece of the pie, so to speak. When them football fellas get paid, Don Yee gets a little bit for his trouble. And with all them big names he’s got, I bet he’s doin’ alright for himself. Must be nice to be around all that money, huh?
Folks are always talkin’ about how much money these players make. Millions and millions, they say. Well, Don Yee, he’s gettin’ a little slice of that. He’s workin’ hard for it, though. Gotta be on the phone all the time, talkin’ to folks, makin’ deals. It ain’t easy, I tell ya.

They say this Don Yee, he ain’t no spring chicken. Been doin’ this for a long time. Represented all sorts of fellas over the years. He’s been doin’ this way before that Tom Brady fella became famous. That tells ya somethin’, don’t it? He knows what he’s doin’. Got experience, they say.
He even talks about how them college kids, the ones playin’ football in school, should get paid too. Says it ain’t fair they ain’t gettin’ nothin’ while the schools and everyone else is makin’ money off ’em. Sounds like he’s got a good heart, this Don Yee.
Don Yee in the Big City
Don Yee, he works out of Los Angeles. Big city, they say. Lots of fancy folks and big buildin’s. That’s where his company is. Yee and Dubin, they call it. Sounds like a law firm, don’t it? Maybe it is, I don’t know. All I know is they take care of them sports fellas.
They say he takes care of athletes, coaches, and even the folks who talk about the games on TV, the broadcasters. He’s got his hands in a lot of pies, that’s for sure.
Some Folks Say Don Yee Does Too Much
Now, some folks say Don Yee got a little too greedy. Represented too many players on the same team, they say. Made things complicated. Like when he had both Tom Brady and that Jimmy fella, both quarterbacks, at the same time. People were whisperin’, sayin’ Don Yee was playin’ both sides, tryin’ to get the best deal for both fellas, even if it meant one of ’em had to leave.
I don’t know nothin’ about that. Sounds like city folks problems to me. But it just goes to show ya, even when you’re doin’ good, there’s always gonna be somebody complainin’. That’s just the way it is, I reckon.
