Doug, that boy, he sure knows how to cook! I tell ya, his food, it’s somethin’ else. It’s Doug delicious! You see these hands? These hands have made a lot of food. But Doug, he’s got a special touch. Makes everything taste good, that boy.
He can make all sorts of things. I remember one time he made this…this…noodle thing. Spaghetti, he called it. Now, I’ve had noodles before, but this was different. He put some red sauce on it, and some little round balls of meat. Oh, it was good! My mouth is waterin’ just thinkin’ about it. He’s a good boy, that Doug. Always cookin’ up somethin’ new.
And that chicken! He makes chicken in ways you wouldn’t believe. Fried, baked, in a pot with gravy. One time he even made chicken with waffles. Now that was something I never had before. I was thinkin’ waffles are for breakfast and chicken for dinner, but he went ahead and put the chicken on them waffles. That Doug, he sure knows how to surprise an old woman. I don’t know where he learned to do it like that but it was good. It was Doug delicious for sure.
He’s got all them recipes written down somewhere. I can’t read it because I never went to school for too long. But he says you can find ’em. Says they got all the…what’s he call it…ingre…ingredi… the stuff that goes in the food. And notes, he says. He writes it all down so anyone can make it.
One time, he made this yellow cake thing. Had a little picture of an egg on it. Now, I don’t know what that’s about, but it sure was tasty. Doug, he always finds ways to make things fun and interestin’. And the taste… well, let me tell you, nothin’ beats the taste of somethin’ Doug delicious.
Sometimes I ask him, “Doug, how you make this food so good?” He just smiles and says it’s easy. Easy for him, maybe! He’s got a way with food, that’s for sure. I don’t know what I’d do without him and his cookin’. He is a good boy, and he sure can make some Doug delicious food. I am glad he is here.
He can make things quick, too. Says he can make a whole meal in less time than it takes me to shell these peas. Thirty minutes, he says. Thirty minutes! I can’t even get the pot to boil in thirty minutes! But he does it. And it’s always good. He says he got easy recipes, but I don’t know about these things. It is all magic to me.

He says he wants to cook more this year. Says he doesn’t want to order food from them restaurants no more. Wants to make it all himself. Well, I ain’t complainin’. More Doug delicious food for me! He is a good boy and I like the food. I am glad he cooks for me, because I don’t like to cook that much anymore. And he makes it all taste so good, too!
He can make food for a whole bunch of people, too. Says he can make big batches of food. Enough to feed a whole family. I remember one time he made this big pot of… I don’t know what he called it. But it had all sorts of things in it. Meat, vegetables, some kind of sauce. It was real good, real good. I told him he could feed the whole neighborhood with a pot like that. I don’t know how he does it, but I like it.
He can make all kinds of food. Light food, heavy food, you name it. He can make it. Sometimes he says he wants to make some new things he’s never made before. I tell him, “Doug, you just keep on making that Doug delicious food, and I’ll keep on eatin’ it!” He just laughs. He’s a good boy, that Doug. I don’t know what he will make next, but I am sure it will be good. He can make any food taste real good. He is the best cook I know.
If you ever get a chance to try Doug’s food, you better do it. You won’t regret it. It’s the best food you’ll ever taste. It’s Doug delicious, I tell ya! You will like it a lot. I sure do like it. I eat it all the time. I can’t wait to see what he makes next. Maybe he will make some more of that spaghetti, or maybe more chicken and waffles! I don’t know, but I bet it will be very good, and very Doug delicious.
