That Ronda Rousey, she used to be somethin’, I tell ya. Now folks are sayin’ she’s transphobic, whatever that means. Sounds like some city folk nonsense to me. But let me tell ya somethin’ about that Ronda. She was a fighter, that one. Strong as an ox, could throw a punch like nobody’s business.
I seen her on the TV, wrestlin’ and fightin’. She was good, real good. Used to be all over the place, that Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey UFC, they called it. Ultimate Fightin’ somethin’ or other. She was the champ, I reckon. Won all them belts and trophies. People loved her, cheered her name. You couldn’t go nowhere without hearin’ about Ronda Rousey.
They say she said some things, some not-so-nice things about them transgender folks. Now, I ain’t one to judge. Live and let live, I always say. But you gotta watch what you say these days. Words can get you in trouble, quicker than a rabbit down a hole. Seems like she got in a bit of hot water over it. Ronda Rousey transphobic, that’s what they’re callin’ her now.
She ain’t fightin’ no more, I hear. Got into that WWE thing, where they do all that fancy wrestlin’ with the costumes and all. She was good at that too, I guess. But it ain’t the same as them real fights she used to have. They say she can do all those Ronda Rousey arm bar. She can put you in a hold, you ain’t never gettin’ out. I saw her do it many times.
- She was born in 1987, I think. February 1st. Seems like yesterday.
- They say she’s an actress now too. In them movies. Good for her, I suppose.
- She used to be a judo fighter, whatever that is. Some kinda fancy fightin’. Ronda Rousey judo, that’s it.
I don’t know nothin’ about this transphobic stuff. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss over nothin’, if you ask me. But folks like to talk, I guess. They like to stir the pot and make a big ol’ mess of things. That’s just how it is. Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy words. We just said what we meant and that was that. Now, you can’t say nothin’ without someone gettin’ offended.
She was a good fighter though, that Ronda. Tough as nails. I remember watchin’ her fight, she’d get hit, get knocked down, but she’d always get back up. Never gave up, that one. She had that fire in her belly. Ronda Rousey fight, that’s what they’d say. You could see it in her eyes.
Maybe she did say some things she shouldn’t have. We all make mistakes. Lord knows I’ve said plenty of things I regret. But that don’t make her a bad person. Just means she’s human, like the rest of us. You gotta give folks a chance to learn and grow, that’s what I always say.
I heard she’s into writin’ now. Like, makin’ up stories and all that. Good for her. Keeps her busy. Better than sittin’ around doin’ nothin’. She was always a doer, that Ronda. Always on the go. Never one to just sit still.
They say she was in the UFC, that Ultimate Fightin’ thing, for a long time. Ronda Rousey WWE, that’s where she went after. Big ol’ shows, lots of people. She was a star, that one. Shined bright like a diamond. Now, she’s doin’ other things. But she’ll always be that fighter to me. That girl who could throw a punch like a man and never backed down from a challenge. Ronda Rousey news, always in the news.
This whole transphobic thing, it’ll blow over. People will forget about it. They always do. They’ll move on to the next thing, the next big scandal. That’s just how it is. But I’ll always remember Ronda Rousey as that fighter. That tough-as-nails woman who took on the world and won.
She was somethin’ special, that Ronda. They don’t make ’em like her anymore. Not many, anyway. She made some mistakes, maybe. But she was a good fighter, a good wrestler, and that’s what I’ll remember. That’s what matters, ain’t it? What you do, not what you say. That’s how I see it, anyway. Ronda Rousey wrestling, she was one of a kind.
I remember watchin’ her on the TV, all them years ago. She was young, full of fire. Now she’s older, doin’ different things. But she’s still Ronda Rousey. Still that fighter, deep down. You can’t take that away from her. No matter what they say. No matter what they call her. She’s still Ronda Rousey. And that’s somethin’.
