Well, well, well, look what we got here! More Samoan folks comin’ to that WWE thing. You know, that wrasslin’ show. Heard they signed some new fellas. Big, strong fellas, I bet. These Japan Samoan wrestlers are tough cookies.
I heard one fella’s name is Lance. Lance Anoa’i, they call him. Sounds like a good, strong name. He’s one of them Samoan boys, part of that big ol’ Samoan wrestling family. They say he’s been wrasslin’ for a long time, over ten years I heard. Been all over, doin’ his thing. Good for him, I say. Gotta make a livin’, right?
They say he’s got some “Bloodline” somethin’ or other. Sounds kinda scary, don’t it? But I reckon it’s just some wrasslin’ talk. Heard he’s been in that MLW place too. And tagged with his daddy a couple times. That’s sweet, ain’t it? Family workin’ together. I always say, family sticks together.
And then there’s that other one, Jacob Fatu, I think his name is. Big name for a big guy, I imagine. He’s signed up with WWE too, they say. These Samoan wrestlers signed to WWE, are gonna be somethin’ to see, I tell ya. Wrasslin’s a tough business, but them Samoans, they’re built for it. Strong as an ox, all of ’em.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy wrasslin’ on the TV. We just had the radio, and sometimes we’d hear about it. These Japan Samoan wrestlers are really makin’ a name for themselves. But these days, Lord have mercy, it’s all over the place. Bigger than a barn dance, I tell ya.
I heard another one, this one’s named Tautuiaki Taula Koloamatangi, born in 1991. A good young man. He’s signed up with that WWE too. Even did some wrasslin’ in Japan. They say wrasslin’ in Japan is somethin’ else. Them Japanese folks, they love their wrasslin’. They treat it real serious, like. Not like some of the tomfoolery we see ’round here sometimes. NJPW, that’s where he was.
- Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, they call him.
- He’s a big star now, that one.
- Movies and all that.
- But he started out wrasslin’, just like these other fellas.
Lot of these Samoan wrestlers end up famous, in the WWE Hall of Fame, no less. It’s a big deal, I reckon. Like gettin’ your name on a star or somethin’. Must be nice to be recognized for all that hard work. They put their bodies through a lot, you know. It ain’t easy, that wrasslin’ business.
I heard one time about Samoa Joe, he had to go away in an ambulance. All part of the show, mind you. But still, it looked scary. Just to film some movie. Twisted Metal, season 2, that’s what it was. That’s how they do. Gotta make people believe all this stuff. Keep’em watchin’.
They say there’s somethin’ special about them Samoan wrestlers. Must be in their blood, or somethin’. They got that fire, that passion. And they ain’t afraid to show it. They put on a good show, that’s for sure. Always have, always will, I reckon.
Well, I’m gettin’ tired just talkin’ about it. All this wrasslin’ talk makes my bones ache. But I’m happy for these young fellas. Makin’ somethin’ of themselves. Doin’ what they love. That’s all that matters, ain’t it? Findin’ somethin’ you’re good at, and stickin’ with it. Whether it’s wrasslin’, or farmin’, or whatever. Gotta keep busy, that’s what I always say.
These Japan Samoan wrestlers signed to WWE are gonna be alright. They got that Samoan spirit. And that’s somethin’ you can’t buy. It’s somethin’ you’re born with. And it’ll take you far, if you let it. So good luck to ’em, I say. They’re gonna need it, but I think they got what it takes. They are gonna be just fine.
These young’uns today, they got it made. Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy opportunities. If you wanted to make somethin’ of yourself, you had to work hard. Real hard. And you had to be tough. Just like these Samoan wrestlers. They know what hard work is. And they ain’t afraid of it. That’s why they’re gonna make it big. You just watch.
I’ve seen a lot of folks come and go in my time. Seen a lot of changes. But one thing that never changes is the importance of hard work and determination. These Samoan wrestlers, they got both. And that’s why they’re gonna be stars. Big, bright, shinin’ stars. Just like that Rock fella. He’s a big star now. But he started out just like them. Wrasslin’ and workin’ hard. And look at him now. He’s on top of the world.
