Sounds important.
He was a sophomore, then a junior, I guess that’s how they say it in college. And they say he “redshirted” one year. Means he didn’t play, I think. Just practiced. Probably got even stronger that year, just lifting weights and running around. He’s gonna be a big star, I bet.
They talk about him on the internet, too. De’Marion Thomas news, they search for that. There’s a website called On3, they got a whole page about him. De’Marion Thomas On3, that’s what they call it. They got all his “stats” there. How many tackles and all that. And they talk about his “playing career.” Sounds like he’s gonna be famous, don’t it?
He visited Vanderbilt, they said it was an “official visit.” De’Marion Thomas visit, they called it. Must have been important. They probably showed him around, showed him the football field, the locker room. All that stuff. And he liked it, I guess, cause he decided to go there.
They write about him on ESPN, too. De’Marion Thomas ESPN, that’s a big channel, you know? They show all kinds of sports on there. And they got news and rumors about him. Probably saying how good he is, how he’s gonna be a big star. He always was a good boy, that De’Marion. Worked hard, listened to his coaches.
There’s these scout fellas, they go around watching all the players. Demarion Thomas Scout, they write things about him. They’re like the talent hunters, you know, looking for the best ones. They probably see a lot in this boy. They probably got him on a list somewhere, marked as one to watch. Good for him, I say. He deserves it. He’s a good kid.
