Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in! It’s about that young fella, Triston Casas, and his darn injury. That boy, he’s a strong one, plays for the Red Sox, you know. But even the strongest trees can get a little bent sometimes, ain’t that right?
So, this Triston, he got hurt. Something about his ribs. Ribs, you know, those bones in your chest that keep your insides in place. Heard it was a Triston Casas injury, a real nasty one. He was playing real good, that Triston, hittin’ the ball like nobody’s business. Then, BAM! He’s outta the game. April 20th, I heard, was the last time he played before this whole mess.
They put him on somethin’ called the “injured list.” Sounds fancy, but it just means he can’t play for a while. Sixty days, they said at first! Sixty days! That’s like, two whole moons! He was just swinging the bat like normal, I heard. Then his rib just went and got all messed up.
- He’s a first baseman, that Triston.
- Plays for the Red Sox.
- Got hurt real bad, somethin’ about his ribs.
- They say it’s a “left rib fracture“. Fancy talk for a broken bone, I reckon.
- He was playing good, too! Now he’s gotta sit out.
Now, they got this other fella, name of Dom Smith, playin’ while Triston’s hurt. But it looks like that Dom Smith fella is gone now, too. They said somethin’ about “designated for assignment.” Sounds like they sent him packin’. All this movin’ around, I tell ya, it’s hard to keep up!
This Triston Casas injury, it’s a real shame. Heard the doctor say it’s gonna be a “significant length of time” before he’s back. What’s that even mean? Longer than a month? Longer than two? Who knows with these doctor folks. They use those big words, but they don’t tell you nothin’!
They did some kinda test on him, an “M-R-I” I think they called it. Just a bunch of letters if you ask me. But they say it showed them just how bad his ribs are hurt. Poor boy. He’s probably sittin’ at home, bored outta his mind, wishin’ he could play baseball.
This rib injury ain’t no joke. Ribs are important, you know. They are right there in your chest, holdin’ everything together. You need ’em to breathe, to move, to do just about anythin’. And this boy, Triston, he needs his ribs to play baseball. That’s how he makes his livin’, you see.
So now the Red Sox, they gotta play without him. They been playin’ without him for three whole months, I heard! Three months! That’s a long time in baseball, I reckon. They probably miss him somethin’ fierce. He’s a good player, that Triston. A real good player. They need him back.
- Dom Smith was playin’ for Triston.
- Now Dom Smith is gone, too!
- Triston’s gonna be out for a long time.
- They did some kinda fancy test on him.
- Red Sox are playin’ without him, probably missin’ him bad.
They went to Boston, I heard. Triston went to the doctor to check on the Triston Casas injury. They said the same thing they said in Pittsburgh. That boy got a messed up rib. I remember my neighbor, she fell off her porch and broke a rib. Oh, she was in pain! Hurt to laugh, hurt to cough, hurt to do anythin’! I bet Triston is feelin’ the same way.
This whole thing is just a mess, I tell ya. That’s what happens, I guess. You can be strong as an ox, but one wrong move and BAM! You’re down for the count. Just like that. Life’s funny that way. One minute you’re up, next minute you’re down.
All we can do is hope that Triston gets better soon. Hope that rib injury heals up nice and quick. Hope he can get back to playin’ baseball, doin’ what he loves. That’s all any of us can really hope for, ain’t it? Just to be healthy and happy, doin’ what we love.
So, here’s to Triston Casas. Hope you get better soon, son. Hope those ribs heal up fast. Hope you’re back on that field, hittin’ those home runs, before we know it. We’re all rootin’ for ya!
