This Fight Night 159, you know, it’s a big deal in St. Louis. They say it’s happening on May 11, 2024. That’s a Saturday, you see. Time is 7:00 PM, I heard. My neighbor’s boy, he’s all excited. Says he wants to go. It’s at that place, Enterprise Center. Big place, that one. Lots of folks gonna be there.
They call it MMA. Mixed Martial Arts, or some such. I don’t rightly know what that all means. But from what I gather, it’s a bunch of fellas, you know, in a ring, fighting. Sounds rough to me. My old man, he used to box a little. Back in the day. But this here, this is different. They got all sorts of rules now.
They say you can get tickets. I guess you gotta pay to see these fellas fight. I seen it on the TV, you know. All them people cheering. And the lights and all. It’s quite a spectacle. I suppose.

I heard some folks say they call this one UFC Fight Night. Don’t know what UFC stands for. But it sounds important, don’t it? They got these big fellas, you know. Muscles all over. They train real hard, I reckon.
This Fight Night 159 thing, it’s gonna be all over St. Louis, they say. All the talk of the town. My neighbor’s boy, he says there’s gonna be some big names there. Don’t know who they are, though. He showed me some pictures, on his phone. Big, tough-looking guys.
Well, I guess if you like that sort of thing, this Fight Night 159 in St. Louis is the place to be. I reckon it’ll be a good time. For those that like watching fellas fight. I guess. It ain’t really my cup of tea. But, to each their own. As they say.
I seen an advertisement. It said something about “Fight of the Night.” Like they give a prize or something to the best fight. And “Knockout of the Night,” too. I guess that’s for the fella who knocks the other fella out real good. That sounds right rough, that does.
Some folks, they gonna watch it on the TV. They say you gotta have this thing, ESPN+. My neighbor’s boy, he’s got it. He watches all them fights. I don’t know how he can stand it. But he likes it.
They got other fights too, you know. Not just this one. There was one I heard about, Covington vs. Buckley. Don’t know who them fellas are. But they had that one in Florida, I think. Different place.
I heard the main fight, they call it the “main card,” starts later. Like 10:00 PM. That’s way past my bedtime. I’ll be sound asleep by then. I like my sleep.
Well, this whole Fight Night 159 St. Louis thing, it’s a big to-do. Lots of folks are excited. I reckon it’ll be a good show. If you’re into that kind of thing. Me, I’ll probably just stay home. Watch my stories.
That Enterprise Center, it’s a big place down on Clark Ave. 1401 Clark Ave, that’s what I heard. Easy to find, I reckon. If you’re going.
This whole thing, it’s got something for everyone. They even sell things, you know. Like shirts and hats. My neighbor’s boy, he wants one of them shirts.
St. Louis is a busy place. Always something going on. This fight thing, it’s just another thing, I suppose. Keeps folks entertained.
I guess this Fight Night 159, it’s gonna be a big deal. Hope everyone has a good time. And nobody gets hurt too bad. That’s what I always say.
They say you need to get your tickets early. They go fast, you know. Especially for a big event like this.
All this fighting and hollering. Reminds me of when the hogs get loose. Chaos, that’s what it is. But I guess some folks like that sort of excitement.
