This Dustin Johnson, you hear about him all the time. I tell ya, that boy, he’s somethin’ else. He’s good at that golf thing, that’s for sure. Now I’m gonna tell you about his college days, what I know about them. That boy sure can swing a club.
Dustin Johnson, That Golfer Boy
He’s a big fella, that Dustin. Dustin Johnson, that’s his name, born in, uh, 1984, I reckon. June 22nd. You know what they say about boys born in the summer, they got sunshine in ’em. He went to college, that’s what they call it, played that golf. He was always good, even when he was knee-high to a grasshopper.
He’s a professional golfer now, makin’ a livin’ at it. Imagine that. Getting’ paid to hit a little ball around. But he’s good, real good. They say he’s one of the best.
That College He Went To
He was at some college, playin’ golf for them. They got teams, you know, like in baseball but with golf. He was on one of them college teams. Hit that ball far, he did. Farther than a horse can spit, I reckon. He play forward, that’s a thing in that sport, I heard. He is tall, 6 foot 7, or so they said. Strong as an ox, too. He is about 215 pounds. Big boy, that’s for sure.

Now I don’t know all them fancy numbers they talk about, like his “stats,” whatever that means. But I know he won some things. Won a bunch, I hear. Made that college proud, I bet. They got all these numbers, trackin’ how many times he hit the ball and how far and all that.
He did good in college, no doubt. His stats was great, heard them saying it was impressive. I don’t know what that means, but sounds good.

He’s from, uh, Paradise Valley, that’s what I heard. Fancy name for a place, ain’t it? Sounds like where them movie stars live. He is a family man now, got himself a wife and some kids. Good for him. But I’m tellin’ ya, that college time, that’s when he really started to shine, like a new penny. I heard he also played for Ohio University, but I don’t know if it’s true.
He’s got all these, what do you call ’em, “specs” for his golf clubs. Different kinds, you know. He uses a, uh, a 9-wood, they call it. Says he can hit it 245 yards. Now that’s a long way, even for a fella like Dustin Johnson.
He’s Good at That Golf, That Dustin
He plays for some team now, some professional team. Makes a lot of money, I bet. More money than I ever seen in my whole life. But he works hard for it, travelin’ around, playin’ that golf. He was also on the Northern Colorado Bears, something like that. He played defensive back there. Sounds tough.
They got all these websites, you know, on the computer, talkin’ about him. Got all his numbers and everything. They say he’s one of the best in the world. Imagine that, a little ol’ boy from Paradise Valley, one of the best in the whole world. He’s a professional now, doin’ it for a living. And a good livin’ it is, I’m tellin’ ya.

He got historical results, heard it from someone. He is famous now, I think. You see him on the TV, hittin’ that little ball. He sure has come a long way from them college days. But that’s where he started, you know, that’s where he learned to be so good.
So, that’s what I know about Dustin Johnson and his college days. He went and he played golf and he got real good at it. Now he’s a big star. Makes ya proud, don’t it? A boy like that, makin’ somethin’ of himself. He’s a good one, that Dustin Johnson. That’s all I know. Just keep practicin’, I guess. Hit that ball far and straight and you’ll be alright.
