Well, let me tell you, that Shaun Alexander Alabama jersey, it’s somethin’ else. My grandson, he’s a big fan, you see. He keeps talkin’ ’bout this fella, Shaun Alexander. So, I tried to find one for him. Ain’t easy, I tell ya. Went to all the stores in town, they didn’t have it. They had other jerseys, but not this Shaun Alexander one. My grandson, he was set on that particular one. Said it was special. Said it was “vintage.” Means old, I reckon, but still good. Like me!
Then, my neighbor, she’s got one of them computer things. She helped me look on the internet. Lordy, there’s a lot of stuff on there! We found some of them Shaun Alexander Alabama jerseys online. Different sizes, too. My grandson, he’s a big boy, so we needed a bigger one. They even got some for real big fellas, size 60, they called it. That’s a big shirt!

My grandson, he told me all about this Crimson Tide. Said they’re a football team. Play real hard, he says. They used to wear white, but then the field got all muddy one time. Red mud, he said. Why it’s so Special

I guess that’s important to young folks. He says some folks even sign them jerseys. That Shaun Alexander fella, he signs ’em, too. Makes ’em worth more, I guess. Like a treasure.
My grandson, he finally got his jersey. Ordered it online. Came in a box. He was so happy, bless his heart. Wore it all day, even to bed! He takes care of it, though. Keeps it clean. Says he’s gonna keep it forever. Says it’s a piece of history.
More than just a shirt
I don’t understand all the fuss, but it makes him happy. That’s what matters, I reckon. That Shaun Alexander Alabama jersey, it’s more than just a shirt to him. It’s about that team, the Crimson Tide. It’s about that player, Shaun Alexander. It’s about football, and history, and all that. I’m just glad I could get it for him. Makes an old lady’s heart good to see her grandson smile. It was a tough job, finding that jersey, but worth every bit of it.
