Okay, so, I gotta tell you about my game day experience with the Colorado Buffaloes. I’m a huge fan, and I finally got to see them play at Folsom Field. The whole thing was a blast, but let me tell you, figuring out the parking situation was a little adventure in itself.
First, I started digging around online. The game was against North Dakota State Bison, and I wanted to be prepared. I found this website called ParkMobile, and it seemed like a good way to reserve a parking spot near the stadium. They had a map and everything, so I could filter by price and distance, which was super helpful. But there were also these PDF maps on the University of Colorado Boulder’s website, one for the main campus and one for the east campus. Talk about being thorough! I spent a good chunk of time comparing these options, trying to find the best deal. I also saw that public parking lots were $35 and I needed to text to pay after parking my car. I would like to pay by cash so I had better prepare some changes before I went there.
Then, I noticed a little detail about bags. Apparently, if you bring a bag to the stadium, it has to be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC. Good to know! I didn’t want to get turned away at the gate, so I made a mental note to leave my regular backpack at home.
I wanted to make sure I knew exactly where Folsom Field was in relation to everything else. Turns out, it’s right on the University of Colorado-Boulder campus, at the foot of these things called the Flatirons. Sounds pretty scenic, right? I imagined it would be a beautiful place to watch a game. Also, I heard that this game would be aired on ESPN, so even if my friends couldn’t come with me, they could still watch the Buffaloes play. I started to look forward to this game.
After comparing all the parking options, I finally decided on a spot that was a good balance of price and distance. It wasn’t the closest one, but I didn’t mind a little walk. The most important thing is that I had a spot, and I wouldn’t have to stress about it on game day. I paid for it in advance, that was pretty convenient. Then, I double-checked the date and time of the game. It was a Thursday evening, August 29th, at 6 p.m. Perfect! That gave me plenty of time to get there after work.
On the day of the game, I left work a little early, grabbed my clear plastic bag, and headed to Boulder. Traffic was a bit heavier than usual, but nothing too crazy. I found my pre-booked parking spot without any issues. I paid for the parking, and then I started walking towards the stadium.
The atmosphere around Folsom Field was electric! Fans were everywhere, all decked out in black and gold. It was such a cool experience to be a part of it. I got to my seat, watched an amazing game, and the Buffaloes won! I enjoyed the game a lot.
In the end, everything worked out perfectly. The parking was a little tricky to figure out at first, but with some research, I managed to find a good solution. And let me tell you, being there in person, cheering on the Buffaloes with thousands of other fans, was an unforgettable experience. If you’re a college football fan, you gotta check out a game at Folsom Field. Just remember to plan your parking in advance!
