Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this rocket launcher, the “Eyes of Tomorrow,” in Destiny 2. Yeah, the one that came out with the Beyond Light expansion. It’s supposed to be this super cool raid exotic, you know? But man, it’s been a journey figuring out if this thing is actually worth using.
First off, I got my hands on it after running the raid a bunch of times. It wasn’t easy. This thing is supposed to lock onto a bunch of enemies at once and then just, you know, explode them all. Sounds awesome in theory, right?
So, I took it out for a spin. Started with some regular PvE stuff, just trying to clear out groups of ads. It worked… okay. I mean, it fired a whole bunch of rockets, and things definitely died. But it wasn’t exactly mind-blowing. It felt a bit clunky, and honestly, there were times I felt like my regular legendary rocket launcher was doing a better job. The “Apex Predator” is really easy to grind, and arguably better.
- I tried it in Gambit too. Not gonna lie, it was kinda fun there. When you’ve got a bunch of enemies spread out, Eyes of Tomorrow can actually do some work. I even got a few messages praising its ability to unleash devastation. I racked up a bunch of kills, feeling like a total badass for a little while.
- Then I decided to get a little more serious. I took it into some higher-level content, you know, where things get tough. And… yeah. That’s where it started to fall apart. It just didn’t seem to have the oomph I needed. I switched back to my regular gear pretty quickly. It just wasn’t practical in serious content.
I jumped on the forums to see what other people were saying. Turns out, I wasn’t alone. Some folks were saying it’s actually pretty good now, a big improvement from before. Others, though, were still saying it wasn’t worth using in serious PvE stuff. I even saw that some other Exotic Rocket launchers like “Gjallarhorn” are much better.
My Verdict?
Honestly? It’s complicated. Eyes of Tomorrow is fun. It’s got that cool factor. But is it the best? Nah. It’s got its niche, like Gambit or maybe just messing around in patrol zones. But if you’re looking for something to take into the really tough stuff, there are better options out there. I wouldn’t recommend going crazy trying to get it unless you really, really want it. I guess some people want it for the Seal and not for the weapon itself. It is what it is.
