Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole thing with CM Punk and me, Ryan Nemeth. It’s been a wild ride, and honestly, I’ve got to get this off my chest. It all started back in April 2023, when I was with AEW.
You might know my brother, Nic Nemeth, who used to be Dolph Ziggler in WWE. Yeah, that’s my big bro. Anyway, things got heated with CM Punk. I won’t bore you with all the details, but it got pretty intense.
So, here’s the deal:
It all kicked off when I tweeted something about CM Punk being the “softest man alive.” I know, I know, not my best moment, but it was after he came back to AEW in June 2023, and I was just frustrated, man. That tweet really stirred the pot, and things escalated quickly. I mean, it was like adding fuel to the fire.
I ended up filing a complaint against him because, dude, the stuff that went down was just not cool. I’m talking about some serious abuse and harassment. I felt like I was walking on eggshells every time he was around. It was a toxic environment, to say the least. I tried to keep my head down, do my work, but it was impossible to ignore.
- First off, the tension was already there. My tweet didn’t help, I admit that. But the way he reacted? Over the top, man.
- Secondly, I tried to talk to him, man to man. But it was like talking to a wall. No reasoning, just anger. It was clear he wasn’t interested in resolving anything peacefully.
- Lastly, AEW didn’t really step in. I reported the incidents, multiple times. Nothing happened. I felt like they were just sweeping it under the rug. It was like they were choosing sides, and it wasn’t mine.
I’m not with AEW anymore. I moved on and I’m currently with TNA, which has been a breath of fresh air. But, man, this whole situation with CM Punk? It left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s just messed up how things went down. I just wanted to do my job, you know? I loved wrestling, and I still do. But that experience made me question a lot of things.
I had to speak out because it’s not right. Nobody should have to go through that kind of stuff at work. It’s just not how things should be. Workplace harassment, especially in an industry like wrestling, needs to be taken seriously. We’re all trying to make a living, entertain the fans, and live our dreams.
I wanted to share my side of the story. It’s been a tough situation, but I’m moving forward. But I won’t forget what happened. It’s a part of my story now, and I hope things change for the better in the future. Thanks for listening, guys. It means a lot to finally get this out there.
