Okay, so, I’ve been following the Memorial Tournament for a while now, and this year’s Pro-Am was something else. I mean, you always hear about these things, but being there, seeing it all unfold—it’s a whole different ball game.
First off, I got up super early. I wanted to get a good spot, you know? So, I got to the Muirfield Village Golf Club way before the sun was even thinking about coming up. It’s in Dublin, Ohio, by the way. I packed a little breakfast, some coffee, and found a decent spot near the first tee.
Watching the Pros Warm Up
- First thing I did was watch some of the pros warm up.
- You wouldn’t believe how relaxed they are before a big event.
- Scottie Scheffler was there, just casually hitting balls like it was any other day.
- And Wyndham Clark, I saw him too, practicing his putts.
- These guys are seriously good.
Later, I heard that even more big names were in the field. Spieth, Ludvig Åberg, Tom Kim, and Sam Burns were all there. Imagine that! The whole place was buzzing with excitement. It felt like half the top 10 golfers in the world decided to show up.
Celebrity Sightings
But here’s the kicker—the Pro-Am isn’t just about the pros. It’s also about the celebrities, right? So, I’m there, looking around, and who do I see? Chris Pratt! Yeah, the actor from the movies. I almost choked on my coffee. And he wasn’t alone. Peyton Manning was there, too. I’m a big football fan, so that was huge for me. Later on, I spotted Rob Lowe, Chris O’Donnell, and even Steve Young. It felt like I was in the middle of a Hollywood set or something.
Rory McIlroy and Friends
- The highlight, for me, was watching Rory McIlroy.
- He’s one of my favorites, and seeing him up close was just awesome.
- And guess what? He was paired with Chris Pratt, Peyton Manning, and Anthony Gonzalez.
- I followed them for a few holes, and it was so cool to see how they interacted, the jokes, the high-fives—it was all so relaxed and fun.
I spent the whole day walking around, following different groups, and soaking it all in. The atmosphere was electric. Everyone was having a great time, the weather was perfect, and the golf was top-notch.
Wrapping Up
By the end of the day, I was exhausted, but it was totally worth it. Seeing all those pros and celebrities in one place, playing golf, having fun—it was an experience I won’t forget. I took a ton of pictures, got a few autographs, and just enjoyed every minute of it.
So, yeah, that was my day at the 2024 Memorial Tournament Pro-Am. If you ever get a chance to go, do it. It’s more than just golf; it’s a whole experience. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
