Today I messed around with this thing called “m0NESY autoexec”. I heard that it can make CS2 run more smoothly, so I wanted to give it a try.
First, I spent some time searching for this “m0NESY autoexec” thing online. I found some commands that someone named “m0NESY” uses. It was some kind of a script. Looks like some pros use this stuff to get their game running just right.
I found some instructions on how to use it. I had to make a file, then put those commands in it. I saved it as “*” because that’s what the instructions said to do.
Now, where to put this file? I dug around a little more and figured out that there are a couple of places it could go. It seems like the game will run it from either place. I decided to put it in the one that seemed like the main config folder.
- First step: Find the commands. I did that by searching online.
- Second step: Make the file. I used a text editor and saved it as “*”.
- Third step: Put it in the right place. I chose what seemed like the main config folder.
Getting the File Ready
Then I copied all the commands into the file and saved it. I also found a command to add to the game’s launch options, something about “exec *”. I added that too, just to make sure it would run.
Testing it out
Finally, I fired up CS2. To check if it was working, I opened the console and typed in “exec *”. Didn’t see any errors, so I guess it loaded OK.
Did it make a difference? Hard to say. Maybe the game feels a little smoother, but it could just be in my head. I might need to play around with it some more to really tell.
Overall, it was a pretty easy thing to try. Didn’t take too long, and who knows, maybe it’ll actually help my game. If you’re into CS2, you might want to give it a shot too. Just search for “m0NESY autoexec” and follow the instructions you find. It might just give you that little extra edge! And you know what? I found a complete m0NESY – CFG, m0NESY – CONFIG, and m0NESY – SETTINGS. Maybe I should try these later.
