Alright, guys, let’s talk about this Boss Burke Baseball thing I’ve been messing around with. I heard about it from my kid’s coach, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, I started digging into it.
First off, I signed my son up for a profile. I saw he was a class of 2028, and he also got into some Perfect Game profile, whatever that means. It’s all new to me, but I’m rolling with it. They had this thing called “11u-14u PG Select Baseball Festivals,” which sounds fancy. I guess it’s like a big deal for these young players to showcase their stuff.
Next, I checked out some showcases and camps. My kid went to a few, and I gotta say, it seemed pretty legit. We even got some letters from schools saying they saw him play, so that’s something, right? I wasn’t sure if it was worth the hassle at first, but seeing those letters made me think maybe there’s something to this whole showcase thing.
Then there’s this WIN Reality thing. It’s like a virtual training program. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m curious. They say it helps with the mental side of hitting, which I guess is important. They have drills and stuff. Sounds like a video game, but for baseball. I might look into it more later. They even have stuff for softball. I saw some reviews of WIN Reality for softball, and it might be good for my daughter.
There is also something about a Boss Baseball Academy. I don’t know what that is. I saw there are some likes, I don’t know if it is worth the money. I do not know the details. I guess it is some baseball training thing. It is something related to baseball training.
Now, here’s where I’m kinda stuck. The coach told me about this program where you can see “matches” between your kid and colleges. Sounds cool, but they want me to pay for it. It’s like $19 a month, or $30, or something. I’m not sure if it’s worth it. I mean, is it really going to help him get into college? I’m still on the fence about that one.
I did all of this without training this season. It was kind of confusing. I had to figure out a lot of things along the way. In the majority of cases, it is hard to do.
So, that’s my experience with Boss Burke Baseball so far. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, and I’m still trying to figure out if it’s all worth it. But hey, I’m doing what I can for my kid, right? If any of you guys have experience with this stuff, let me know. I’m all ears.
- Signing up for profiles and events? Check.
- Going to showcases? Done.
- Getting letters from colleges? Got a few.
- WIN Reality virtual training? Maybe later.
- Paying to see college matches? Still deciding.
My overall experience?
It is not bad. I am trying to do my best for my son. It was a little bit hard to understand at the beginning, but now it is getting clearer. There are a lot of things that I did without training. It is important to have good results.
