I started watching football a couple of years ago, and a buddy of mine who’s really into the Miami Dolphins kept talking up this guy, Braxton Berrios. Said he was a solid player. So, I thought, let’s check this guy out.
I started digging around for some info on Berrios. I mean, who is this dude? Turns out he’s a wide receiver for the Dolphins. First thing I looked at was his size. The guy’s not huge, 5’9″ and around 190 lbs, which is not big in football field. Okay, not the biggest guy, but that doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Then I dove into his stats. I saw that in 2021 he caught 46 passes for 431 yards and scored a couple of touchdowns. Also, he is not bad at return game, with 23.8 yards per kick return and 10.5 yards per punt return. Not too shabby. He even got named a First-Team All-Pro as a kick returner that same year for leading the league with 30.4 yards per return. Impressive, right?
But here’s the thing, while he’s been pretty good in the return game, his offensive stats aren’t exactly eye-popping. I saw that he’s only caught 20 out of 25 targets for 194 yards and one score this year. I guess he is not the main guy to catch the ball.
Recently, I found out that he got injured and will be on IR. Bummer for him, hope he gets well soon. There’s also some buzz about him and his girlfriend, some TikTok star, Alix Earle, she showed her care about him. I guess that’s kind of a big deal in the social media world.
So, after all this digging, what’s the verdict? Is Braxton Berrios good? Well, he’s definitely a good player, especially on special teams. His return game is where he really shines. Offensively, he’s alright, maybe not a superstar, but a solid role player. It seems like he’s a valuable asset for the Dolphins, especially with those return skills.
Overall, I’d say he’s a good, solid player. Not a superstar, but definitely someone you’d want on your team. My buddy was right, Berrios is a pretty good player, especially when he gets the chance to return kicks. He’s the kind of player who might not always be in the headlines, but he gets the job done.
