Then, I decided to try him out on the left wing. This guy is 6’2″, not the shortest player out there, so I was curious how he’d handle being out wide. I started a new match, slotted him in as a left winger, and got to work. He’s got a 4-star skill move rating and a 4-star weak foot, which is pretty awesome.
- First match as a left winger: I started dribbling with him, trying out some skill moves. The 4-star skill moves really make a difference. I was able to pull off some neat tricks and get past defenders. His height didn’t seem to slow him down at all.
- Shooting: Next, I wanted to test his shooting. I got him into a few good positions and took some shots. Right-footed, by the way. His shots felt powerful and accurate. I managed to score a couple of goals from outside the box, which was pretty satisfying.
- Passing: Passing is important, so I made sure to check that out too. He was able to deliver some nice through balls and crosses. Not the best passer in the game, but definitely reliable.
After a few matches, I switched to his World Cup TOTT card, which has an even better rating of 88. The difference was noticeable. He felt quicker, stronger, and his finishing was even better. I played several games with this card, and man, he was tearing it up. It almost felt like cheating, to be honest.
I also experimented with him in different formations and game modes. Whether it was Career Mode or Ultimate Team, Gakpo was a beast. I even tried him out in some online matches, and he held his own against some tough opponents.
