Alright, let’s talk about this La Parka Spear thing. So, I saw this video online, you know, just scrolling through my phone like always. It was some wrestling match, and this dude, La Parka, did this move, the “Spear.” Looked pretty cool, so I decided I had to try it out myself.
First off, I did a little digging. Turns out, this La Parka guy has been around in the wrestling world for a while. He’s a Mexican luchador, which means he wears one of those cool masks. Apparently, he’s pretty famous for some moves, and the Spear is one of them.
I watched a bunch of videos online of La Parka doing the Spear. Some were from way back in 2004, where he did this thing called a “tope into arm drag” – no idea what that is, but it looked fancy. Others were more recent, like from 2018. The way he did the Spear in those newer videos, it looked like a mix between a spear and a spinebuster, whatever that is. I saw a few comments of people said it was awesome, but I don’t know what that means, just thought it was really cool, maybe I am too old.
So, I grabbed my buddy, and we headed to the backyard. We don’t have a wrestling ring, obviously, but we do have a pretty big lawn. Figured that was good enough to try this thing out.
Now, I’m no professional wrestler. At all. But the Spear seemed simple enough. Run at the other guy, tackle him at the waist, and you both go down. Easy, right?
- Step 1: The Run. I started with a good run-up. Not too fast, but with enough speed to make it look good. I guess.
- Step 2: The Tackle. This is where it got tricky. I aimed for my buddy’s waist, just like I saw La Parka do. But, you know, it’s harder than it looks. I ended up more like bumping into him than tackling him.
- Step 3: The Fall. We both went down, but it wasn’t very graceful. More like a clumsy tumble.
We tried it a few more times. Each time, I got a little better at the run and the tackle. But that fall, man, it was tough to get right. We laughed a lot, though. It was fun trying to imitate those wrestling moves, even if we looked nothing like the pros.
After a while, we were both pretty tired and a bit bruised. But hey, we gave it a shot. I even tried to copy La Parka’s energy. He always seemed so lively in the ring. I jumped around, waved my arms, even tried to do a little dance. My buddy just laughed at me, but it felt right.
In the end, I realized that doing the La Parka Spear is way harder than it looks in those videos. It takes a lot of practice, and probably some actual wrestling skills, to do it right. But it was a blast trying it out. Maybe I won’t become a famous luchador like La Parka, but at least I can say I tried to do his signature move. And that’s something, right?
So, there you have it. My attempt at the La Parka Spear. It was a fun little adventure, and I got to learn a bit about this La Parka character. Maybe I’ll try some other wrestling moves in the future. Who knows? But for now, I think I’ll stick to watching the pros do it. They definitely make it look a lot easier!
