So, the other day, I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, and I came across some workout videos from Charlotte Flair. You know, the wrestler, “the Queen.” It got me thinking, I should check out more about this athlete. She’s Ric Flair’s daughter, a legend in the wrestling world. And Charlotte, she’s making her own mark, that’s for sure.
I started digging around, just to learn a bit more about her career. I found out she started wrestling training around 2012. She was first a singles wrestler and then a tag team wrestler from 2013 to 2015. Impressive start, right?
Then, I watched some of her older matches. This woman has charisma and athleticism. Her move, the figure-eight leg lock, is something else. It’s like her dad’s figure-four, but even more intense.
I learned that she won the NXT Women’s Championship back in 2014 and even got named Rookie of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Not too shabby, huh? She moved up to the WWE main roster in 2015, and things just took off from there.
But here’s the rough part. I saw that she had a pretty bad injury during a match with Asuka on “SmackDown” in December 2023. Torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Ouch. That’s gotta be tough. She’s been off WWE since then, recovering.
Seeing those training videos she’s been posting really showed me her dedication. I mean, coming back from an injury like that, it takes a lot of hard work and determination. Personally, I don’t like repetitive wrestling moves, but she did a good job. If you play the latest wrestling game, you know what I am talking about.
