Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this new thing called the H9. Yeah, the H9. It’s kind of a big deal, or at least that’s what I’ve been hearing. It’s supposed to be some kind of headphones, but not just any headphones. They’re, like, the next big thing in audio or something. So, I decided to give them a try.
First off, I got my hands on these H9’s. They were not exactly cheap, but I figured, why not? I’ve been using those other ones, the Pulse 3D wireless headset, for a while, and they were okay, but everyone’s been talking about how comfy the H9’s are. They say they don’t squeeze your head like the Pulse 3D’s do.
So, I started using them. I wore them for hours, just to see how they felt. And you know what? They were right. These things are seriously comfortable. It’s like they barely even touch your head. I could wear them all day. But comfort isn’t everything, right?
I also heard that smartphones are big now, and some phones like the Pixel 8a are all the rage. They talk about how Google AI improves your photos with “Best Take” and “Audio Magic Eraser.” Sounds fancy, but I was more focused on the sound quality of these H9 headphones.
- I listened to all kinds of stuff. Music, podcasts, you name it.
- And I gotta say, the sound is pretty good. It’s clear, it’s crisp, and there’s this thing called “Super Res Zoom Video.” Not sure how it works on headphones, but with Pixel 9 phones it claims to help you record high-quality video.
Then there’s the whole “OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro” thing. People are making a big deal about these phones being announced at the same time. And there is also the Huawei Mate 9 with its big 5.9-inch screen. Sounds huge, but I was more interested in whether I needed a headset microphone with these H9’s.
Do I need a microphone?
Turns out, if you need a proper headset microphone, the answer is yes. If not, then maybe not. I tested out a few calls, and people said I sounded okay, but it wasn’t anything special. It’s not like one of those fancy microphones you see streamers using, you know? But for regular calls, it works. Not like a professional setup, but it gets the job done, I guess.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with the H9’s so far. I tried them out, I listened to a bunch of stuff, and I even made a few calls. They’re comfortable, they sound good, and the microphone is decent. Are they worth the hype? I don’t know, but I’m definitely going to keep using them. Maybe I’ll even figure out what all this AI stuff with the Pixel phones is about. Who knows, might even help with the sound or something. Anyway, that’s my story, take it as you will. It’s not a big deal for everyone, but I thought I’d share.
