Okay, so today I decided to dig into something that’s been on my mind for a while – Dwyane Wade’s son, Xavier. You know, the youngest one. I’ve always been a bit curious about him, especially since he’s not in the spotlight as much as Zaire or Zaya.
So, first things first, I started with a basic search. Just typed in “Dwyane Wade son Xavier” and hit enter. Lots of stuff popped up, but I wanted to get the basic facts straight. Xavier Zechariah Wade, that’s his full name. Born on November 10, 2013, which makes him… let me see… 11 years old now. Time flies, right?
Found out that Xavier is Dwyane’s kid with Aja Metoyer. Apparently, they had him during a little break in Dwyane’s relationship with Gabrielle Union. I read somewhere that Xavier mostly lives with his mom, which kind of explains why we don’t see him around as much as the other kids.
Then I got into some of the other family stuff. Like how Dwyane has full custody of his nephew, Dahveon Morris. And remembered reading somewhere that Dahveon and Zaire used to play basketball together at Sierra Canyon School. Cool, right? Family bonding over hoops.
I also stumbled upon a piece about Xavier’s 10th birthday bash last year. Dwyane apparently went all out for it, which is sweet. It’s nice to see that even with all the fame and busy schedules, they make time for these important moments.
- Dug a little deeper into co-parenting. Dwyane himself mentioned in his memoir that it’s challenging because Xavier doesn’t live with him. Makes sense. It’s a different dynamic compared to his other kids who he sees every day.
- Then I found something about Gabrielle Union talking about having her daughter, Kaavia, later in life. She’s 50 now, and she’s all about it. Inspiring, honestly.
- Oh, and get this – Zaire, Dwyane’s older son, got an offer to play for the Cape Town Tigers in the African Basketball League. He was with the Salt Lake City Stars before that. Pretty cool that he’s taking his game international.
Anyway, my little research session reminded me that family dynamics can be complex, especially when you’re in the public eye. Dwyane’s got a full plate – being a guardian to Dahveon, having custody of Zaire, Zaya, and Kaavia, and co-parenting Xavier. It’s a lot to juggle, but it seems like they’re making it work.
