Okay, so I’ve been keeping an eye on this “Midwest Open Leaderboard” thing for a while now. First off, I gotta say, it’s way more exciting than I expected.
I started off by just casually checking the scores, you know, just to see what the fuss was all about. I heard some chatter online, folks saying, “Blocks are gonna win at -12” and all that, so I got curious. But what really got me hooked was the whole “father-son duo of Michael and Dylan Block” making their run. I mean, how cool is that?
So, I started digging around, trying to find more info. It felt like some secret society stuff, honestly! Like, why was it so hard to find the full leaderboard? I saw some posts asking “why is no one covering the leaderboard is this suppose to be a secret cult” and I felt that. It should be much easier to find, right?
- First, I just casually looked at the website, without registering.
- Then, I searched for news about it, only found some of them, not enough.
- Then I decided to register an account to see more details, but still nothing more than I saw without registering.
- Finally, I followed some players that are famous, I saw the full leaderboard, and I knew it.
Anyway, I kept following along, watching as the leaderboard shifted. Saw some familiar names popping up, like “Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke, and Paige Spiranac”. Even saw “Austin Reaves” on there, which was a surprise! I thought he only played basketball.
I also stumbled upon some talk about the gear these players were using. One guy was listing his setup: “Driver: PING G425 MAX 10.5 / Ventus Black 6X+. 3w: Cobra RADSPEED 14.5 / Ventus Blue 7X. Putter: L.A.B Golf DF3. Grips: Iomic Sticky Jumbo.” I don’t know much about golf gear, but it sounded pretty serious.
What happened in the end?
And then, that final round… wow. I was glued to my screen, refreshing the page like crazy. Seeing the Blocks birdie No. 18 to take the lead was just awesome. They ended up winning the whole thing! It was a stacked field, too, with some big names. I saw a post saying “Michael Block and son Dylan came out on top in a field stacked with stars” and that’s exactly what happened.
Honestly, I didn’t expect to get this invested in the Midwest Open, but it turned out to be a real nail-biter. And seeing a father and son win it together? That’s just the cherry on top. But honestly, finding the leaderboard shouldn’t be this hard. I hope next time, it will be much easier!
