Today, I hopped back into Honkai: Star Rail, ready to tackle something new. I’d heard whispers about this “Divergent Universe” mode and, oh boy, let me tell you, the rumors about it being tough are no joke.
I started by unlocking it – which, thankfully, wasn’t too much of a hassle. You just need to beat World 3 in the regular Simulated Universe, no biggie. But I made sure I finished that “Stranger in a Strange Land” mission on Penacony first. Gotta keep things immersive, you know? It’s recommended by some people online.
Once inside, I quickly realized this wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. I picked Firefly as my main damage dealer. I mean, she’s just built for this, especially with her focus on Break Effect. Plus, I figured a team around breaking would be solid. So, I threw in Harmony Trailblazer for support, Ruan Mei because, well, she’s Ruan Mei, and Aventurine to keep everyone alive. Some folks online mentioned Gallagher as a good sustain, which makes sense, but I went with Aventurine.
The first few stages were manageable. I focused on grabbing Destruction and Abundance blessings. Anything that boosted Break Effect was like gold to me. But then came the bosses…man, they hit hard. I found out the hard way that Yanqing is a nightmare. Even without going berserk, he can still delete your tank.
- First runs: Destruction and Abundance blessings – a must for break teams.
- Yanqing: This guy’s a tank buster, even when he’s chill.
And if you think Yanqing’s bad, wait till you meet the Heliobus. This thing is on a whole other level. I tried different combinations, switched up my blessings, but it kept crushing me. It’s definitely the final boss, and it feels like it, I spent two hours on it.
My Strategy Tweaks
After getting stomped a few times, I decided to rethink my approach. Maybe pure offense wasn’t the way to go. I started prioritizing defensive blessings a bit more, especially those that shared damage among the team. It helped, but not enough.
I spent hours experimenting. Trying different paths, different blessings. I even swapped out Aventurine for other sustains a few times, just to see if it made a difference. Nope, still getting wrecked.
Finally, after countless attempts, I managed to clear it. It wasn’t pretty, and I definitely got lucky with some crits and blessing combos, but I did it. I finally beat “Threshold Protocol VI”. It felt amazing, not gonna lie. If you’re struggling, I’d say persistence is key. Keep trying, keep experimenting, and eventually, you’ll find a strategy that works. Just be prepared to spend some time on it!
