Alright, so let’s talk about this whole Molly Davis knee injury thing. You know, I’ve been following her story closely ’cause, man, injuries like that can really mess up an athlete’s career. So, I decided to keep some notes and track everything that’s been going on.
The Beginning
It all started back in early October 2024. I was watching some practice footage online, just checking out how the team was doing, and that’s when I heard that something happened to Molly. She was a senior guard, 5’7″, pretty solid player. She got hurt, and suddenly I started seeing more about her situation.
The Injury
It was during the final regular season game against Ohio State that she suffered that knee injury. That was on July 11, 2024. I remember reading about it and thinking, “That’s gotta be rough.” Later on, I found out she tore her medial patellofemoral ligament. I ain’t no doctor, but that sounds pretty bad, right? I started keeping an eye out for any news on her condition and wrote down every update I could find. It was kind of a mess at first, like is she getting surgery, what’s the plan and so on.
The Brace
Then, on April 21, 2024, there was this picture of her. She had this huge brace on her right leg, going from her hip all the way down to her ankle. I remember thinking, “Wow, that’s serious.” I mean, she’s a guard, she needs to be quick and mobile. That brace looked like it would make things real tough for her. I wrote that down too, noting the date and how serious it looked.
Surgery and Recovery
Fast forward to April 5, 2024, and there were reports saying Molly had started 27 of 30 games for the Hawkeyes before the injury. That just made me feel worse for her. She was doing so well, and then this happens. Then there was news that she had knee surgery. I guess that was the only way to get her back on track for the 2024-25 season. I marked that down, hoping it meant she was on the road to recovery.
Looking Ahead
- October 2024: Heard about the injury during practice.
- July 11, 2024: Confirmed knee injury, torn MPFL.
- April 21, 2024: Seen with a big leg brace.
- April 5, 2024: Reports on her previous season stats and news of surgery.
Now, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for her. It’s a long road to recovery, but I’m hoping she can come back strong. I’m gonna keep updating my notes as I hear more. It’s kinda like a little project of mine now, tracking Molly’s journey back to the court. Hopefully, we’ll see her back in action soon. That’s all I got for now. Will keep y’all posted!
