Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this EA Sports College Football 25 game, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I was super pumped when I heard they were finally bringing it back after like, a decade. I mean, who wasn’t? Anyway, I dove right in, ready to lead my beloved Tennessee Volunteers to glory. I started up a new dynasty, picked the Vols, and got ready to dominate.
First thing I did was check out the team’s overall rating. I figured, you know, Rocky Top, we gotta be up there, right? Well, turns out, not so much. I was a little bummed to see that Tennessee wasn’t in the top 25. I mean, come on, we’re talking about the Vols here! But, hey, I wasn’t gonna let that stop me. I’m all about the underdog story anyway.
So, I started playing through the seasons, and man, it was a grind. I spent hours recruiting, trying to snag some top talent. Let me tell you, those high school kids are picky! The game’s got this whole “deal-breaker” thing where some prospects just won’t even consider your school if you don’t meet their demands. It’s crazy! You gotta manage that stuff carefully, or you’ll miss out on some real game-changers. I learned that the hard way a few times, haha.
- I started to look into this “Rocky Top” song.
- I found out it’s like, a huge deal for Tennessee fans.
- Apparently, it’s even been on the country music charts!
I also dug into the soundtrack for the game. I was curious if “Rocky Top” made the cut. I mean, it’s practically the anthem for Tennessee football! I found out that there are only six songs in the game right now that play in different situations. And guess what? “Rocky Top” is one of them! I knew they couldn’t leave it out. It is not just a normal college fight song. I heard that it came from the hometown of a songwriter named Dean Dillon. This guy wrote songs for some big-time country stars. Pretty cool, right?
The game itself is pretty slick. I know they used the same engine as Madden, but it still feels different. I guess the announcers and the whole college vibe make it unique. I spent a good chunk of time just messing around with the different game modes. You’ve got your basic exhibition games, the dynasty mode, and even this “Road to Glory” thing where you create your own player and try to make it to the pros.
Playing Result
Honestly, even though Tennessee wasn’t ranked where I hoped, I still had a blast playing. I even managed to pull off a few upsets against some top-ranked teams. It was awesome! This game definitely brought back some serious nostalgia. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid college football game. And hey, at least “Rocky Top” is in there, right? That’s all that really matters in the end. Go Vols!
