Now, you only need to complete one of these to get another trophy, “Trial Run,” but to get this other thing called “The Circle of Malius,” which you need for the “For the Hoard” trophy, you need to beat all seven of these trials. Let me tell you, it wasn’t a walk in the park.
- First: I began collecting Renown points like crazy. Every quest, every mission, I was racking them up.
- Second: I started tackling the Chronolith trials. Each one was different, and some were really tough.
- Third: I realized that one specific item, some kind of apples from Martelle, was key to getting the trophy.
Then came the real grind. I found out that these apples from Martelle were part of the reward for maximizing your Renown points. The game mentions Martelle as this person who grew these “slightly stunted, somewhat sweet apples” from some bad soil. Apparently, she had the knowledge to grow them. I felt like I was learning a bit of farming too. The game said, “May she rest in peace,” so I guess she’s not around anymore, sad face.
After hours of playing, completing trial after trial, and collecting every Renown point I could, I finally got all the items from the Patron’s Whisper. And guess what? I got those Martelle apples! It was a such a relief. Getting the “Careful Whisper” trophy wasn’t just about the trophy itself, but the whole journey. It felt good to finally get it after all that work.
