Okay, so let’s talk about this “Divergent Universe” thing in Honkai: Star Rail. I jumped into this mode right after I finished up that Simulated Universe: World 3 in Herta’s Space Station. To unlock this, it is said to need to clear that World 3. But you know what, I strongly suggest you also knock out the “Stranger in a Strange Land” Trailblaze Mission in Penacony first. I did that, and man, it just made the whole experience way smoother and more immersive. Trust me on this one.
The first time I tried, I didn’t think too much about my team comp. I just threw in my usual heavy hitters, and boy, did I struggle. The Ascended, that first boss, she’s a real pain. Kept hitting me with that “minus max health” move like there’s no tomorrow. Three times in a row, once! Then there’s Yanqing, the second boss. This guy’s a monster. Even my tankiest characters were getting shredded, and that’s without him even being in his Berserk state. I barely made it to the final boss, and let me tell you, that Heliobus is no joke either.
After getting my butt handed to me a few times, I started doing some digging. I saw a lot of folks recommending Firefly for this mode. So, I thought, “Why not?” and gave her a shot. And you know what? They were right. Firefly is an absolute beast in the Divergent Universe. I started pairing her with characters who could boost her Break Effect, and things started to click.
I also switched up my strategy when it came to picking blessings. Before, I was all over the place, grabbing whatever looked good. But then I focused on Destruction and Abundance blessings, especially the ones that messed with Break Effect. Man, what a difference that made! Firefly was just melting through enemies, and my team felt way more durable.
- First Attempt Fail:
- Used my regular team, got wrecked by The Ascended’s “minus max health” spam.
- Struggled with Yanqing, who shredded my tanks even without Berserk.
- Got stomped by the final boss, Heliobus.
- Switched to Firefly:
- Focused on characters and blessings that boosted Break Effect.
- Specifically chose Destruction and Abundance blessings.
- Team Composition:
- Firefly as the main damage dealer.
- Used Aventurine as a sustain character, and he seems perfect for the role.
- Experimented with other characters to support Firefly’s damage output.
The Winning Formula
My winning team ended up being Firefly, obviously, as the main damage dealer. I used Aventurine as my sustain. He’s pretty good at keeping everyone alive. Then I added some other characters that play well with Firefly to maximize her damage. I experimented a bit, but once I got that core team down, it was smooth sailing. I was finally able to clear the Divergent Universe, and it felt amazing!
So, if you’re struggling with the Divergent Universe, take it from me: Get Firefly on your team, focus on those Break Effect-related Destruction and Abundance blessings, and make sure you have a solid sustain like Aventurine. You’ll be crushing it in no time! And don’t forget to finish that Trailblaze Mission first – it really adds to the whole experience.
