So, I had to deal with this whole Cam Leiter injury situation, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. It all started back in late March. I noticed that Cam Leiter, one of the pitchers for Florida State, hadn’t been playing. Turns out, he got injured on March 28th and was put on the sidelines. I was like, “Oh man, that’s not good.”
I started digging around, trying to figure out what was going on. From what I could gather, he was in rehab, trying to get better. A few weeks back, I heard whispers that he might be coming back soon. I got all excited, thinking, “Yes! He’s gonna be back in action!” It felt like the return was just around the corner.
But then, things got a bit unclear. I kept seeing updates, and it seemed like his return wasn’t as imminent as I thought. I was checking every source I could find, hoping for some good news. There was also this other player, Connor Whittaker, who was also injured, and I found out that he has missed his past two starts and Dorsey missed his past three. I heard that Connor was recovering a bit faster than Leiter, which was something, at least. It was a real waiting game.
Tracking the Progress
I kept my eyes glued to any news about Florida State’s baseball team. On May 2nd, someone mentioned that things were “positive” for both Leiter and Whittaker. I was like, “Okay, that’s a good sign, right?” But still, no clear date for when they’d be back.
- March 28th: Leiter gets injured. Bummer.
- Early May: Hopes of a quick return. Fingers crossed!
- May 2nd: Some positive news, but still waiting.
- May 27th: Found out that the possibility of getting the star right-hander back on the mound could be soon, but he hasn’t pitched since March 28th.
Then, around May 27th, I saw an article saying that Leiter might be back for Florida State’s NCAA Tournament run. I was like, “Finally! Some solid news!” It felt like forever since he last pitched on March 28th. So, that’s where we are now. It looks like there’s a real chance he’ll be back soon. I’m keeping my hopes up and hoping to see him back on the mound, doing what he does best.
This whole experience was a bit of a wild ride, full of ups and downs. But hey, that’s sports for you, right? You never know what’s gonna happen. I’m just glad there’s a chance to see Leiter play again. It would be great for the team and for all the fans. Keep your fingers crossed, everyone!
